Illustration[edit]

I haven't updated my DeviantArt account for a while so I wont direct anyone there, but I will upload a few of my pictures to this page. I focus mainly on designing characters rather than background but I'm working on that.

My favorite Illustrators are Lane Smith, Jamie Smart, and Jhonen Vasquez.

Metal[edit]

All types of metal. I don't hate much metal besides Emo, Screamo, Mainstream Rock that gets played on metal stations (like Nickelback), and a lot of Nü Metal. That's not saying I don't like any Nü Metal, I enjoy my fair share of Mushroomhead and Slipknot (though the latter is extremely overrated and would never make it on my top 100).

Dissapointments[edit]

In Flames[edit]

I loved all of In Flames' albums from Lunar Strain to Colony, but then came Clayman. While I like their new cds, they are nothing now compared to what they used to be... but still way better than slipknot :P

Mushroomhead[edit]

I own their self titled album, XX, XII, and Savior Sorrow and was deeply dissapointed with the last one. I could hear the softening of their style in XII but that didn't harm it in anyway, but in Savior Sorrow, they feel washed up. Sure there are a few tracks that sound straight off of XX and XII but that happens to be only three or four tracks. I hope they get back to their older style and make sure Waylon stops trying to sing like Corey Taylor and Chad Kroeger.

System of a Down[edit]

I like System of a Down, up until the new album (Mezmerize/Hypnotize) that sold as two different discs. First of all, that is a horrible way to cheat people out of $20, each cd was only about 35 minutes long and they were only ONE album but sold seperately for $20 each! This kind of crumbled their anti-big business messege that can be found in many of their songs seeing as now they are the ones cheating people. If that wasn't bad enough, they changed their style so much that I only found myself enjoying a couple of songs from it. I am actually glad I listened to my friends' copies first.

Rob Zombie[edit]

I'm greatful that Scum of the Earth rose from that ashes that was once a great band. Rob Zombie's solo career finally cut me off when Educated Horses was released. At least Riggs and John Tempesta formed a band that can substitute this loss of a great american sleeze band.

What Made Me Glad (In the world of Metal)[edit]

Scum of the Earth[edit]

Scum of the Earth gives me that sleezy metal that only (former) bandmates of Rob Zombie could supply. Now I have something to repalce Rob just in time for him to start sucking.

Celtic Frost[edit]

Back together after 17 years.

Sepultura/Soulfly[edit]

The Calvera brothers, Max and Igor, stopped fueding as reported in Revolver Magazine. This can only lead to better news, such as Max joining Sepultura again... Maybe?

Videogames[edit]

I love videogames but at the same time am not a fanboy for anyone. The last statement may seem wrong after completely loosing faith in Sony's new console, but remember that I don't hate the PS3, I just believe it has nothing really going for it after Ken Kutaragi, the father of the Playstation, pretty much ruined the name... starting with the PSP.

The PS3 to me[edit]

The games look no different than the Xbox 360's launch games, and is a good sign that it won't surpass the 360 anytime soon. It also is less user friendly and customizable. The online is system is horrible except for the fact that it is still free to play games online. With that there is an EXTREME shortage of systems and the high price point isn't helping. I can supply links for 6 games that have already been dropped from the exclusivity list for the PS3 off the top of my head, including Assassins Creed. Rumors are even surfacing that MGS4 might be on the fence. With Sony being a year behind (and in some instances more than just one) there is little to no reason for buying a PS3. It's actually loosing its exclusives before they are even finished being developed for Kutaragi's slowness at getting the deals to them, the high shortages, and the high price.

In the end, it really has nothing going for it. Now if someone offered me a free PS3, or one for only $100, sure I'd take it. I don't hate the console or its games, just what Sony has done to it (overhyping, poor services, poor execution, etc.)
