My Contributions[edit]

  • Very first edit as registered account was an homage to Sheldon Brown (bicycle mechanic) on March 9, 2009 which has, not surprisingly, been removed: His signature style was to sign off with a whimsical nickname related to the topic at hand. When discussing a gearhub, he might be Sheldon "Totally Enclosed" Brown[1] or, for a page on gears and drivetrain, Sheldon "Shifty" Brown.[2]
  • Cleaned up a complete mess later that week in the article on The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
  • Consolidated data to add a very useful table to Minimum efficiency reporting value.
  • Fleshed out and cleaned up a lot of articles on tropical fruits, which are generally underdeveloped
    • Contributed the first photos and made major clean-up overhaul of Abiu article.
    • Contributed first photo of a longan tree.
    • Collected information on all the cultivars of Chocolate persimmon that could be found in appropriate sources online and synthesized it into a "Varieties" section.
    • Added (IMO) nice photos and did a major reorganization of sugar-apple and Annona squamosa to resolve a merge proposal by making them a fruit article and botanical species article, respectively.
    • Etc.
  • Organized, completed and quantified the agricultural section on urine as a fertilizer with extensive references.
  • Made a major revision in the tilapia article, particularly the section on nutrition, by consolidating and adding new, referenced content. Also worked on articles of several "tilapia" species.
  • Added a section on phylogeny to Nepenthes and made other carnivorous plant article edits
  • Caroline Norton was also an important Victorian songwriter, and now her article, and Juanita (song) better reflect that.
