Senators[edit]

Thank you for your response. I changed the navy to red to reflect the home cap color. Even though Lancaster now has a team, I still have some loyalty to the Senators as they were our team when we were young. I am busy with maintaining the Atlantic League pages, but I will create a Harrisburg paper page when I have time unless you want to, and then feel free to create a link from the Senators page. WVU-MU rivalry (?)[edit]

I see your point about the newness and the rivalry and it not being such a big deal out-of-state WVU fans/students and it being a bigger deal within the state. I took the liberty of fixing it for you- you had it going to Hook and lateral play (football), and it should go to Hook and lateral play (American football). Don't forget that Soccer is known as Football outside of the US. --Tlim7882 06:36, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Original 16[edit]

That is completely wrong, unless i am completely misinterpreting your statement. If you are saying the Phillies are the most recent Original 16 to win the World Series, that is incorrect as the Cardinals, White Sox, Red Sox, Yankees, Braves, Twins (unless you discount their Washington Senators roots), Reds, A's, Dodgers, Tigers, and Orioles have all won at least one Series since the Phillies most recent title in 1980. If you were saying that the Phillies were the last team before expansion from the Original 16 to win the Series that is also inaccurate, as in 1960 the Pittsburgh Pirates won last World Series before expansion, defeating the Yankees 4-3, on Bill Mazeroski's walk-off home run in Game 7. However, if I have overlooked some meaning in your statement, please reply and explain to me what I am missing. Thanks. --User:Daryno621 16:11, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Bogus reversion[edit]

Please tell me where, in the following paragraph, the referent of "Peter" is spelled out:

The show was memorable for the "Whammy", a red cartoon creature of indeterminate species wearing a cape. The Whammy's spaces on the game board took away the contestant's money, accompanied by an animation that would show the Whammy taking the loot—but frequently being chased away, blown up, or otherwise humiliated in the process. The animated Whammies were created and animated by Savage Steve Holland and Bill Kopp, and voiced by Bill Kopp. Throughout the show's run, approximately 60 different animations were used, and the Whammy became popular enough that at the end of many episodes, Peter would read a "Whammy poem," sent in by a home viewer. "Whammy poems" would also appear after the first round of the big board before going to commercial.

No, it's not in the preceding paragraph either. English is normally read from top to bottom, left to right. The fact that "Peter" is mentioned somewhere else in the article does not excuse the bad writing in this paragraph, which is supposedly part of the introduction. 121a0012 02:18, 26 January 2007 (UTC)

I reverted it because "Peter" is mentioned as the host at the top of the article, and listed as host. I think by that point in the article, the reader would know who "Peter" is.
No, Peter is not mentioned as the host at the top of the article. The only paragraph before the one I quoted above says:
Press Your Luck was a popular American television game show during the 1980s where contestants collected "spins" by answering trivia questions, and then used the "spins" on an 18-space gameboard full of cash and prizes. The person who amassed the most in cash and prizes at the end of the game won.

I too own a Phillies jersey and hat that I wear frequently, as well as for the Barnstormers. Commerce Bank Park[edit]

I think that the advice about where to sit in the stadium is original research, and therefore not suitable for Wikipedia. The ticket prices might be encyclopedic - I'm not sure whether they should be kept. I would definitely keep the bit about the flood. Andrew_pmk | Talk 10:46, 26 June 2007 (UTC)

I would leave out the section about the batting practice entirely. I don't think that it's very important at what times a team does batting practice, since Wikipedia isn't an indiscriminate collection of information.
