Apprentice (Matthew Alexander Klein)[edit]

Early Life Matthew Alexander Klein was born on March 31,1997 (age 21) in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. He was born into a Christian home and and was homeschooled until the age of 13. He attended Burnaby Mountain Secondary School until he graduated in 2015. He wanted to be a Architectural Engineer but would have the high enough grades. Matt started working with his Level 1 Carpentry but his construction only lasted 4 months because he couldn't stand the work and the conditions of all the rain and dirty, smelly indecencies. It was not for him. He then attended Douglas College and would then pursued personal training as well as business and accounting. He had many passions from his childhood including building things with Lego, playing hockey, weight lifting, and being a Christ follower. When he was eleven years old he won a national Lego championship by entering a contest for the 50th Anniversary of Lego and got to travel with his family to the Lego factory in Denmark as well as stay at the hotel and spend a weekend at Legoland. When he was 13 years old he would start playing ball hockey as a goalie and would win the regional championship, receive the MVP award in his first year and place 2cd in the provincial finals. He wanted to one day make it to the NHL but he couldn't afford to play ice hockey. Matt also has a passion for exercise and powerlifitng, he is a BCRPA Certified Personal Trainer.

The first rap Matt really enjoyed was form Mackelmore and Ryan Lewis' the Heist (2013). From there he listened to many different genres and was inspired by many different styles of music. He never thought he could sing well but always knew he could put rap verses together well. In the summer of 2017 he began writing music and would spend evenings with his long time friend Nathan Chiu at the Nimbus School of Recording Arts. While balancing school, his part-time job, and writing and recording music he realized he needed to pick a career and couldn't do everything at once. In the summer of 2018 he worked part time and would write and record music with Nathan.
