Excellent use of your noodle!

We, all homo sapiens ("wise human") have natural-born noodle inside our skull which allows us to be capable of abstract reasoning, language, introspection and problem solving. Therefore, even though you find objectionable, unpleasant or offensive things in somebody's comment; first be calm, take a deep breath, and then use your noodle! Don't rely on throwing uppercase letters around and hoping they will stick. By using your natural-born noodle, you can avoid the trickiest of situations!

Just because someone is acting incivil, doesn't mean it violates WP:CIVIL[edit]

The policy is clearly intended to keep editors in harmony. Not everyone has the same type of personality, so remember, use your noodle.
eg

  • Strong fucking support Love this candidate. -- Tough Guy Cy
Please be civil. -- Sir Righteous of Windsorpoolington

If you used your noodle here, you realize that Tough Guy, while being uncouth, isn't breaking any rules.

Just because your were offended, doesn't make it a violation of WP:NPA[edit]

I know your feelings got hurt, but there is no policy about offending anyone. Not every personal attack will have offended the recipient and not every offended person is the recipient of a personal attack. Remember, read context carefully and use your noodle.
eg

  • You really think all editors should have to put their phone numbers on their user page? That idea is insane! -- DontHoldBack_Jack
I don't appreciate you calling me insane. If you do it again, I will have you blocked for personal attacks. -- bumHurtBert

If you used your noodle on this one, you would realize that the 'idea' is referred to as 'insane.' The user was not called insane. Sane people have insane ideas, and insane people have moments of lucidity. Don't interpret - just use your grammar skills and your noodle.

Bad use of your noodle.

Just because your friends are throwing around buzzwords like they get paid for them, doesn't mean it's right[edit]

I know it's cool to use hip jargon like the kids with their rock-n-roll, but it's probably not right for you. Instead, use your noodle and come up with a more constructive way to argue.

  • Keep: This article is de facto important and fills WP:N and WP:RS. --Innocent()Bystander
I'm tired of your wikilawyering and attempt to build your strawman. Your unilateral assertion, which goes against consensus, is a prima facie example of an ad hominem attack. I served with Net Positive: I knew Net Positive; Net Positive was a friend of mine. Bystander, you're no Net Positive. -- Trendy Mindy

If you used your noodle, you just realized that Trendy Mindy doesn't know shit about the terms she used. Trolling AN/I may boost your vocabulary, but those who use their noodle can express their ideas without having to rely on an uber-elite vocabulary.
