Welcome to my user page! My name is Kara and I am a student at Rice University. As a full-time student, I have not been able to be as active on Wikipedia as many contributors are but am excited to start contributing more to pages relating to human rights issues.

Contributions

I have been a part of several social justice classes which require contributions to Wikipedia. In fall 2014, I worked on the Informal Sector page to earn it a better rating. This semester, I plan on tackling a new project: I will be writing a new article page on Workers' Rights in U.S. Meat and Poultry Plants. It will be a part of the WikiProject Organized Labor and consist of content related to the characteristics and consequences of working in the meat production industry. It will rely on a variety of scholarly sources. This is my first time writing a completely new article and so I would very much appreciate any feedback!
