Howdy! My name is Wally Wilson and I live in the West Seattle neighborhood of Seattle, Washington, US. I am originally from Kalispell, Montana.
I am retired from the United States Coast Guard and served on a high-endurance cutter, at a smallboat/MLB station, and on helicopters as an Aviation Machinist Mate and a Search and Rescue Aircrewman/Flight Mechanic/Rescue Hoist Operator on HH-3F Pelican helicopters and HH-60J helicopters. I am currently (as of 20 February 2009) finishing up the last two classes for my Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Horticulture and Urban Forestry with a minor in Environmental Science and Resource Management from the Center for Urban Horticulture[1] and the College of Forest Resources[2] at the University of Washington in Seattle.
I am an avid amateur photographer and I have many photographs related to plants, insects, ecology, and the environment. Please feel free to Email me if you have any questions or requests. I am always happy to share what I know and the photographs[3] that I have taken.
