Gabriele R. Fariello[edit]

I am a computer scientists, researcher, philanthropist, and entrepreneur. In my youth, I have been everything from a cook to construction worker to an unemployed worker. More recently, I have been a Harvard Dean for Computing, the Head of Neuroinformatics at the Center for Brain Science, and a CIO and CTO. I received my |bachelor's in molecular biology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and my master's from Harvard in management information systems. I have taught courses in neuroinformatics, machine learning, and statistics and probability and general scientific computing.

I have worked on a number of projects in machine learning, artificial intelligence, big data, and general computational sciences (particularly in the health sciences areas including differential diagnosis, neuroinformatics, and bioinformatics). I also have a broad range of expertise in high performance computing, green computing, Web application development, general software architecture and development, knowledge management, data architecture, Software Development, and regulatory compliance (with expertise in areas such as FERPA, HIPAA, and 21 CFR Part 11 issues).

I also have a number of interests in the field of Legal Informatics especially as it may help the general public better understand and change laws and legal precedence and as a tool to allow lawyers to be more effective counselors as well as help them protect their privileged information.
