I stumbled across Wikipedia by sheer chance and have since often returned and finally started to participate. It can sometimes be addictive and you get to know your own good and dark sides eg when you see articles mercylessly edited : ) But thats the way it works around here and good it is...
I also join the fun in the German Wikipedia.
I really like the exchange of knowledge and the permanent flow of new facts, ideas and discussions going on around here. I also like the idea of participating for the sake of open knowledge - as Umberto Eco said, "Information is the key to the world of tomorrow" - and wikipedia works to keep it accessible to all.
Interests are widespread - Literature, Austria, Sailing, Film, History and Geopolitics are among them.
I always like to get in contact with other wikipedians - so just leave a message on the talk page... this said, I want to thank all, who contribute here - keep up the good work !

eLibrary Austria Project[edit]
At the moment I am working on an Austrian Electronic Library (elib Austria) trying to provide full txt of works and papers on Austria and the predecessor - territories. I try to make author entries in the German and English Wikipedia more complete and to provide links to the full text. I always appreciate help and comments.
Blue Ribbon Free Speech Campaign[edit]
The "Blue Ribbon" Campaign from the Electronic Frontier Foundation supports EFF with its task to keep a balance between security and liberties, which due to the latest developments is severely disturbed.
Kindness Campaign[edit]
