  • THANKS! No, no need for YOU to appologize at all, you never did anyhing at all to me. Well, it was just that Sca said my themes I chosen for the FP were sad well, maybe - but then - that is also part of the life. No, not anything from the Simple - but I - as you said - don't like being in places they don't like or appreciate what I do. People think they can run over anyone and still expect them to contribute. Because I did a good job and they were in need of that work - but if that is the way they took it - well then - do that yourself, guys... (those) So, tell me. Hafspajen (talk) 14:15, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
The same admin who challenged you has done the same to me. I told him to mind his own business. I was not making bad edits and to leave me alone. He is now questioning Sminthopsis84 about some species categories for algae and Sminth is a botanist!!! That is just crazy, same with you and the images. You are the one who is a painter and educated with the knowledge and background to know what images are good and he is not even a person who knows a thing about art. Oh well, whatever. So I am off to look at FPC. In truth, I find it quite entertaining, as long as I don't take it personally. Happy, happy Fylbecatulous talk 14:33, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, blast - this much a Christian may swear - what is he doing to Smit? And if it is so, why do they keep him as admin? Hafspajen (talk) 16:39, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
I decided a while ago that I don't let others decide if I go or stay, - it helps! Encouragement, encouragement, I even had a DYK on that, DYK? The article with the colourful image above had 24k+ hits during its time on the German Main page ;)--Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:50, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
  • well, of course, Gerda. But I really got the impression that on the small Wikis some admins tend to abuse their powers - and there are not enoug others to keep them on place. Not enough control over the power- people Simple Wiki has like 7 admins... - Hafspajen (talk) 16:59, 10 September 2014 (UTC).
  • That's right. There are so few and only three or so actually work. They are all in prickly cold moods. Remember our WikiLove discussion, Hafs. They were all in terrible moods about it. It was probably infuriating them that we were actually having fun, even while editing. Smit will be fine. Just gave Mac the facts and left it at that. Hard to argue with facts...ツ Fylbecatulous talk 17:03, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
hard to argue with facts if you look at them --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:08, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Looks like your favourite painting, Gerda is framed that it cuts the artist signature in half... and I really don't know what I can do about it. It is a minor fault ... still, it might count - depends on how generous people are. Hafspajen (talk) 19:26, 10 September 2014 (UTC)
Hafspajen and Gerda, do we know this for sure; that it is framed this way? I looked at the google page and can't really tell except that the scan is clipped. As far as light fading making a difference if it is re-framed, any good museum now guards against light, moisture, and temperature damage. (Not that I know if the museum would undertake this for Wikipedia...) If the North Carolina Museum of Art does this (and this is where my interest and facts lie) with pathetic government funds, surely a good museum would. We even have barometers hanging everywhere and indirect lightng with no sunlight. I would love to support this painting and don't mind anyway about the signature, myself. Of course he has some other quite good paintings, now that I have looked.. Fylbecatulous talk 17:33, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

A dream

Hi Fylbecatulous and @Hafspajen: I wondered what you would think of this idea, if there is a way to propose it. Protesting by not editing on Mondays has the real problem of what to do about the vandalism and silliness that happens on Mondays; it could make Tuesday a miserable day for us serious editors. It seems to me that a real day of rest for all the wiki projects could be a good step for editor retention. If it were impossible for anyone to edit on Monday, we could all have a real rest. What do you think? Could that work? Sminthopsis84 (talk) 13:13, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Protesting by not editing on Mondays has the real problem - yes. But if you wan't to prove a point, you have to show that it has consequences - I imagine that is the idea with striking. What do you wan't me to do with the little cute coala? Hafspajen (talk) 14:32, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

It's time to make a stand against the arrogant and incompetent Wikimedia Foundation and its complete disregard for those of us who actually build this encyclopedia. Their salaries are paid on the back of our unpaid work, therefore in line with some others I've decided to withdraw my labour every Monday until things change. And if they don't, I'll be extending the length of my strike. I encourage everyone to join me.

I think no one else has joined us because we can't really organise without bringing down rath, as our conversation on Sitush's page says. So it is certainly not having an impact good bad or indifferent. While editor retention is a worthy goal, this protest began because of a huge incivility issue all the way up to Jimbo. (Ironically, Hafs, Sminthopsis and I get continually bitten in this regard). I probably should just take down my template and stop trying to make a difference. I have virtually stopped editing on Simple and no one notices. Hafs departure was taken at SImple with silence except for yours (Sminthopsis) and my crying on my talk page. I intend to only write an occasional article there to keep my patroller rights. No more backlog, nothing.
  • Hafs, the koala is asleep. All these happy sleeping animals... ツ Thanks, both. Fylbecatulous talk 16:55, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Hey, there? And who is going to take care of the cats? I am totally incompetent on cats... Hafspajen (talk) 17:00, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
I am still the faithful keeper of cats. The dogs, not so well. Hafs, this works out well. You understand dogs; they are herd and pack animals. They have a particular temperament and require a keeper who can issue commands. With cats, a command is useless. Getting even one cat to come when it is called is impossible; herd obedience is impossible. I identify with cats because I too am questioning of any and all commands...'question authority' is my motto. Fylbecatulous talk 17:17, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Unrelated dreams. I didn't edit for 4 days in a row and nobody noticed. Yesterday I had an article on DYK, today it was translated to French, that's one of the thinks I like here. Also a cat by independence, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 17:22, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

I guess we need some central page to link to, so we can see how many are participating. It would be a shame not to notice that, just as nobody notices who is working. Hafs: you could prod the koala, but you'd probably only get a sleepy look in response. I thought I'd start a personal list of pages that I'm no longer watching. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 17:32, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Hey, Gerda. I had just pinged you and Hafs up above in the 'Happy' section to ask about the problem with this image of The Good Shepherd...sorry for second notice this will send you. Fylbecatulous talk 18:00, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
No problem. - A friend died, to put things in perspective. Did you see the grave stone image on my talk? The line on it would be good for him, too. I hesitate to change the article, I am no RS ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 22:40, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Gerda, I am sorry for the loss of your friend. Yes, I just looked at the epitath and I have read the article you linked. May his memory be eternal. Fylbecatulous talk 02:50, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Sminthopsis, now your list of vandalised pages is a good concrete idea, but it makes me feel all the more that I should just remove my template and start back showing up on Mondays. As I said, we are afraid of organising too much (I suggested a category) but this has gotten us in trouble before. I have a redlinked battlescar on my user page from a fight to keep a protest category (Wikipedians who are not a Wikipedian). It went through several requests for deletion and all the way to a formal complaint that even the redlinked category and the members be deleted from Wikipedia's history. Fylbecatulous talk 18:14, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
Oh, that crushing of independent spirit would be depressing. I think I'll keep my little list and see how it develops. Perhaps it will illuminate the "wikipedia doesn't need you" argument for me. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 20:07, 11 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Sminthopsis, I hadn't realised until I happened to look at your talk page a bit ago, that you had hung your Mondays template with the adorable Maine Coon on Tuesday. ツ So there are really four of us, at least. I will continue on then with the Monday strike. Sheesh. You were talking about 'we' and I didn't even catch on. Thank you.... Fylbecatulous talk 02:43, 12 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Maine Coons are wonderful animals. The three I have known have been referred to at various times as "dog-like cats"; they were all big silver-grey guys from different places and they never met one another. I'll let you know how my experiment goes. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 19:32, 13 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Thank you; I shall be interested. I have set my recent changes 'advanced options' preferences to be the same as yours in your essay / musings. I usually only watch my personal watchlist and the doggies and cats but your way is quite useful. Have a happy Monday ツ Fylbecatulous talk 13:07, 14 September 2014 (UTC)
  • The first results are in: I was expecting one or two pages that would have benefited from the revert that I withheld, but there are five. Yes, I find that option to group the changes useful for looking at a watchlist. I hope you had a good Monday. I did some gardening. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 15:46, 16 September 2014 (UTC):
  • Sminthopsis84, uh you have almost 4000 pages on your watchlist. ツ Mine is about 800... I am going to be away for the weekend with family, so I am trying to catch up on a few things. My mood for Wikipedia has been a bit blue this week, so I have not done much useful work for no pay. I see Hafs has blanked his user pages on Simple Wiki, which I guess was needed. It had been getting vandalised. It still makes me more than a bit sad to see all our happy chatter and work now in the history. Oh well...Have a good remainder of week and I will be back Sunday night, probably just in time to activate my 'away' template for Monday. Thanks. Fylbecatulous talk 17:24, 18 September 2014 (UTC)

Well, what some idiot went on vandalizing it 4 times? Hafspajen (talk) 17:30, 18 September 2014 (UTC)

Hafs, I don't understand your edit summary. I just meant I missed our good times for as long as they lasted. I hate Simple too. Please don't be angry with me. Please? Fylbecatulous talk 17:37, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
.Our Father, no, I just said it is enough with what's here, but that's not you. Hafspajen (talk) 17:41, 18 September 2014 (UTC)
Hafs, okay, thanks. I understand. Hugs and many well wishes. Fylbecatulous talk 17:48, 18 September 2014 (UTC)

Glad that was sorted out. Yes, what an idiot, or multiple idiots. The geolocate showed one of them at "Institute For The Redesign Of Learning", which sounds rather unfortunately like a name for a group of vandals. I was glad to see that eventually some of the addresses were blocked, but it took a while. I've been working through a category over there, just making little changes, and am quite shocked by the poor quality.

  • 800 is still a lot of pages to manage! I recently removed most species pages from my list, nearly 1000 of them. I'll have to find other ways to reduce the number, or reduce it to zero, which is very easy with the "edit raw watchlist" option, and I did that once. It felt good. Have a good break! Sminthopsis84 (talk) 18:14, 18 September 2014 (UTC)

Remember my dream. On the German Main page, today and tomorrow, sorry no picture, lower right (Schon gewusst? their DYK): "Ich gehe nicht schnell, ich eile nicht". I do not go fast, I do not rush. DYK? ;) --Gerda Arendt (talk) 16:20, 24 September 2014 (UTC)

The Big Award

Hafs, More purrs for the visible light spectrum I do so love. I see this painter also has created a breathtaking aurola borealis. The diffusion and colours are trippy. By a fluke of nature some years ago the Northern lights were visible in North Carolina over a few weeks. We have such permeating light glare here, I had to drive way out halfway to the coast to adequately admire them. Fylbecatulous talk 04:17, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

How wonderful!! I have to laugh, because you chosed a very good picture, you know, you have really nose for this. Bescause is a featured picture, these two are the ones that actually are featured from his works, and now you managed to have them both on your page! Hafspajen (talk) 05:37, 19 September 2014 (UTC)
  • Thank you. ツ Perhaps there is still a bit of art appreciation in my blood. I was a disadvantaged child though, so I was never allowed to study such things. Not useful for a working skill, you know. Fylbecatulous talk 11:54, 19 September 2014 (UTC)

Oh, Padre mio, Oh signor mio, sup>Dewey Readmore Books!!! Hafspajen (talk) 16:50, 19 September 2014 (UTC) Also < You mean -lack of money or economic support? Hafspajen (talk) 18:11, 19 September 2014 (UTC). Both, everything and more. Grim loveless childhood. Fylbecatulous talk 01:16, 22 September 2014 (UTC)

  • Hi Hafs, thank you for more beautiful light. I have been away for the weekend with family. Yes, in three hours it will be Monday in my time zone. I am going to look at Bernese Mountain Dog and see whats up with the FPCs, if I dare. (I have been with two of the most charming Husky - German Shephard mutt mix dogs about two year and 50 pounds each at my family's). I would love a dog actually but I couldn't pick either one up. ツ Fylbecatulous talk 01:12, 22 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, if you start while they are puppies... and pick them up every day ... that was the method some Greek or Roman olympic competer used to strengthen his muscles... but he used a cow or bull. Hafspajen (talk) 15:36, 24 September 2014 (UTC)

Looks like this article is in trouble. Hafspajen (talk) 22:17, 26 September 2014 (UTC)

Yes, I am astounded! I have tinkered with it a little. The entire article just needs to be reworded. It violates so many issues of style... Fylbecatulous talk 00:03, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
Hafs, Thank you for the image of Evening Prayer with the docile calm black cat. I was going to add an Orthodox prayer to be said by children at night as a caption. It is horrid and frightful. Not soothing at all: saying how sinful I was during the day and protect me from evil dreams from Satan while I sleep. I think I have said this before: Russian Orthodox is a very difficult faith. Not mercy and love. Fylbecatulous talk 15:19, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
Well, don't say you are sinfull if you are not - but a little protection from the Wvil is not bad. Why don't you pray fre with your own words?Hafspajen (talk) 15:31, 27 September 2014 (UTC)
Okay. Mostly I just say "help". My feelings are now in the image. Thanks. Fylbecatulous talk 15:46, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

Winter's coming!

Hi Fylbecatulous — I thought you might be interested in this gallery I've been working on. Sca (talk) 16:43, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

Sca, I do very much love the gallery you have. Hafs, it seems you two might develop an article on Winter themes in paintings? A very wide and difficult subject to get in one article. I have bookmarked and have watched the two links to Night in paintings. When I return on Tuesday, I will look at them. Same as Sca, I can write well but have no knowledge or background in art. Nor do I have references. I haz nothing but a desire to write and copy-edit.

Hafs and I worked well together on some new articles on (shhhh...Simple English. I don't want Hafs to break out in an allergic rash) with dogs, religion and painters. In truth Simple English is the most difficult wiki to work with, language, tools and admin hostility. Thanks, both ツ Fylbecatulous talk 19:29, 28 September 2014 (UTC)

I, too, offer little beyond an old editor's (and copy editor's) language skills, plus a bit of translation. Sca (talk) 20:53, 28 September 2014 (UTC)
More themed paintings to ponder. Sca (talk) 20:44, 29 September 2014 (UTC)

Sca, thank you. These are truly awesome and atmospheric. To ponder is peaceful. Fylbecatulous talk 00:14, 30 September 2014 (UTC)

Westgate Mall Attack Controversy

I saw you tagged this as a speedy and thought I'd alert you... Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Westgate Mall Attack Controversy

My gosh, my first thought at seeing your talk page was that it was too beautiful to contain talk messages. After a few minutes of looking at the paintings, I remembered what I came here for. Then it happened... I saw messages by Hafspajen. If some low-life like that SOB can leave a message here, sullying the wonderful paintings, anybody can talk here. You stay away from me Hafs. I don't want to block you again.

— Preceding unsigned comment added by Bgwhite (talk) 19:41, 27 September 2014 (UTC)

But what is this all about??? What Westgate Mall Attack Controversy?? I never edited anything like that. What, you stay away from me Hafs? When DID I EVER GET ON YOU to start with, Bgwhite, I don't get a thing. WHAT low-life like that SOB??? AND IT WAS ME WHO PUT THIS PAINTING HERE; BY THE WAY. Hafspajen (talk) 12:42, 1 October 2014

Yesh, saw the name calling but what did I or you ever have to do with an article Westgate Mall Attack Controversy created by an user UduXus??? WHEN did you or me ever interacted with Bgwhite on that article?? Drmies? Hafspajen (talk) 13:05, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

  • Possible explanation -+ I’m just wondering - remember the joke Bgwhite posted on my talk a little while ago about blocking me? I think they were trying to be funny on your talk and it has backfired because of everyone feeling sensitive because of ... you know what ... and also because of the things that happened over at Simple Wiki? My talk there has been vandalizede now 18 times - and for no apperant reason at all - and I have only 1 enemy on wiki, and everybody knows who that is. Hafspajen (talk) 13:23, 1 October 2014 (UTC)?

Fylbecatulous, you posted on Drmies USER page, - one should post on the TALK page. Hafspajen (talk) 13:32, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

I know this, Hafs. I just apologised to Drmies. This is how upset I am over this. I cannot even think. Thanks for placing it in right location. Hopefully Drmies will overlook this. I did it by accident and explained to him it was innocent mistake. I need to stay on Wikipedia so hopefully he will forgive me. Fylbecatulous talk 13:39, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Hope it is just some silly admin joke, but I have to say that it didn't exacly was a good joke, if it was meant to be a joke. Not right now when peoples nerves are streched a bit. Hafspajen (talk) 13:41, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

I am not aware of that on your talk page at all. Did not see it. If this is a joke, it should say so. and they did not even sign the message to me. Bgwhite ? Fylbecatulous talk 13:47, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Westgate Mall Attack Controversy was tagged by Bgwhite diff, but there's a message at User talk:UduXus from you, Fylbecatulous diff. Something weird is going on here? Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 14:07, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi, Joshua Jonathan, thanks. I tagged a first article for speedy deletion (which it was) and then it got rewritten. My notice was to the edior whose article was up for speedy deletion. I think the top message was about the fact that it was re-created and is now up for deletion. I have no idea what happened next, sadly.. Fylbecatulous talk 14:16, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
  • But if both Bgwhite and Fylbecatulous agreed on deleting the page why am I called son of a bitch, and what Madre de dio I have to do with all this? Hafspajen (talk) 14:18, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
  • This is Bgwhite's Midwestern sense of humor, that is all. Drmies (talk) 14:19, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Drmies, I first am sorry for posting to your user page by accident. If this is humour, it should say so. This is just making me cry. No where did it say it was supposed to be funny. And now in my being so upset I have probably broken 10 Wikipedia rules, including posting to your user page. Fylbecatulous talk 14:25, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

  • No problem, Fylbecatulous. As for this particular issue, I suggest that next time (if there ever is one) you ask the poster what they intended. Just stay cool and ask, "hey, what did you mean by this." Thanks, Drmies (talk) 16:06, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Well, probably not the best joke, as said, since you never realized that it was one - and hey, it was ME who posted thoses wondefulles pictures, am I not allowed to leave messages here? Indeed. Just a slave, that's what I am. Hafspajen (talk) 15:33, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
And I thought you were a Swede! Sca (talk)

Admin here

I'm not sure I can help you so I may tell you no, but what's the problem? Dougweller (talk) 14:20, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Dougweller In the section above, (Westgate Mall Attack Controversy) there is an unsigned comment by who I now find out is an admin. They came to notify me of something to do with an article deletion. Then a threat of a block and name calling of a friend, Hafspajen, ensued. As well, they said they were welcome to post to my page in such a manner. It was all unsigned, which makes the threats seem all the more real. Now I am so upset I have accidentally posted to the user page of Drmies. He says it is supposed to be humor. I was not aware this is a running joke somewhere else, it seems, but on my page, it does seem like a real threat to Hafs and to me. Now, I have bled over others talk pages, thinking this is real, including on Drmies user page (which I know is a bannable infraction). I am having a momentary lapse of reason over this. Thanks. Fylbecatulous talk 14:34, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
All in all, might not been the best yokes of all jokes. Hafspajen (talk) 14:36, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Don't worry about posting to Drmies' userpage, that's not bannable or even blockable as it clearly wasn't vandalism, just a mistake. This is just some misfired humor. Dougweller (talk) 14:54, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Dougweller, Thanks for the reassurance. Meanwhile, this has misfired right into my emotional heart. If, as you and Drmies imply, I should just shrug it off and laugh, I hope I can feel that way soon. And now I am sorry I have upset Hafspajen, who like me has endured some hostility on Wikpedia. All the best, I am grateful for your help. Fylbecatulous talk 15:33, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Hi Fylbecatulous, and Hafspajen: yes, it seems to have been a silly joke. I'd rev-delete it, but there are now a lot of intervening posts here that would have to be sanitized. I'm sorry, this appears to be a good illustration of text being easy to misinterpret. I hope you (both) feel better soon. Yngvadottir (talk) 15:36, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
checkY Resolved. Apology on my active talk page. (now archived here). Also resolved on editor's talk page by us.

No slave, yes Swede

Hafs, I am going to leave this on my talk page until Bgwhite can see this chaos. I would hope we get an apology for our grief. Either way, I am so sorry about this. In a day or two I will place this in my archive along with all my other hurtful memories.

PLEASE, still feel happy and free to add your beautiful images to my page. and the prayers. This page will still be a shrine and you are a part of it, my friend. You are so welcome here and so are your gifts and trinkets. This is just a moment of graffiti that will go away and stay hidden.

Just remember we have had fun and happy times.

You are no slave; you make a good difference in many others lives. Mine too. Fylbecatulous talk 17:07, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Well, I THINK, Bgwhite meant something like this: (translated from Bghwhiteska): Hey, glad to see you here old pall, what a pretty talk page this is ... (freely translated). Hafspajen (talk) 17:10, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Yes, I remember somone came to your talk page to leave a comment or notice and then said "Now why haven't I had this page on my watchlist?" after seeing how beautiful yours is. ツ Fylbecatulous talk 17:19, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
So, I was right about the translation! Hafspajen (talk) 18:16, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Message of peace to keep

Hafspajen and Fylbecatulous, yes, it was meant to be humorous. I apologize to both of you for writing it or not tagging it as humorous. I try to "humor" up alot of my talk messages and in this case, it backfired. I "blocked" Hafs a few weeks back for leaving some horrible songs repeating in my head and this "joke" was a continuation of that. My wife is a kindergarten teacher and she already knew of the horrible songs. She has been torturing me with them for the past few weeks. I really did mean what I wrote about the paintings. I did spend sometime looking and reading about them. Thank you Hafs for posting those paintings. Bgwhite (talk) 18:11, 1 October 2014 (UTC)
Ah crap. I just read my talk page and saw the note from Fylbecatulous about not signing my post. That was unintentionally done. When I screw up, I screw up to perfection. Bgwhite (talk) 18:18, 1 October 2014 (UTC)

Hafs, yes.ツ Have you seen the apology above from Bgwhite? I am going to reply to it. As soon as I know you have seen it, I am going to send it to the deep dark archive. Pies can be filled with a wide variety of sweet or savory ingredients. Popular varieties include apple, cherry, peach, chocolate, and pecan. But this is caviar!

Hafspajen (talk) 16:26, 7 October 2014 (UTC)

Take your caviar, put out the cat and go to bed now. Hafspajen (talk) 16:39, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
Hafs, yum. How did you know I am hungry? And Caviar. Good for me. ツ Thank you so much.
This is too funny. I was just going to ask should I make coffee or tea. But getting some sleep is a much better idea. I can barely type and I am never good at it anyway. Fylbecatulous talk 16:45, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
. And when will people start beliving I am really psychic... Hafspajen (talk) 21:08, 7 October 2014 (UTC)
  • Hafs, thank you for my siesta image. You always find the most amazing paintings. With the cat and the stringed instrument and the sling or hammock and the warmth of the desert...I would sleep there anyday. ツ And I believe you are psychic if you say you are. I was "born with the veil or caul", which is supposed to give one second sight. I did used to see ghosts and still have perception of future events. I was born in a Catholic hospital, so the nun said it was a blessing. I do not think so. Fylbecatulous talk 19:00, 10 October 2014 (UTC)
Of course it is. Hafspajen (talk) 19:13, 10 October 2014 (UTC)

The Days (band) nominated for deletion

I have nominated the article The Days (band) for deletion because the band lacks notability. You have edited this article in the past and so I thought you might be interested. You may discuss this nomination here: WP:Articles for deletion/The Days (band)

Ahem, you are not angry? About that article - I think admins are very careful about living people. There is that policy WP:BLP that wants to protect people that others don't start spreding rumors about them. Hafspajen (talk) 20:17, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Hafs, No no, not angry at all. Fylbecatulous talk 21:29, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
OK. Hafspajen (talk) 21:36, 14 October 2014 (UTC)
Hafs, So, yesterday was Monday, of course and even though I have taken down my banner, I am still not working. Over the weekend I had family birthday gatherings (not mine). And there is stuffs going on on Wikipedia now, that worries me. A couple of good editors are leaving or banned (not the one in the gender maffia. I am against that, entirely). It is Sitush and Begoon And poor Begoon's cat died. And I do get freaked out easily here, like at the DYK. But this is why I am not working at a job. I am a fragile flower and when I was working I cried every day. It is just not here. Fylbecatulous talk 21:41, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

I know- and I don't like it either. It is sad. Hafspajen (talk) 21:46, 14 October 2014 (UTC)

Hafs, as for the article on Jani Schofield, I actually did comment on the deletion thread. If it gets kept, okay; if not; also okay. There really is not much that I want to argue about here. P.S. I enjoyed your YouTube battle with Marty. I confess that I actually like Led Zeppelin, but Kashmir (song) is my favourite. Fylbecatulous talk 02:06, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

Are you interested in helping out a bit? This is going to be a new article, Sminthopsis idea. ;User:Hafspajen/Jardin Jungle Karlostach. Needs some copyed. Hafspajen (talk) 19:20, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

What the heck. Hafspajen (talk) 20:04, 15 October 2014 (UTC)

Doing... Okay. I will try not to get in edit conflicts with any of you. Fylbecatulous talk 12:58, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Stopped editing it. Hafspajen (talk) 13:08, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
Hafs. Okay. Whatever you want... (sigh...) Fylbecatulous talk 13:31, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
Hey there - nothing of the kind. If you don't want to throw yourself singing into the jungle, you don't have too. We will manage somehow. Hafspajen (talk) 13:37, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
  • Hafs, Oh, I though from your edit summary you were tired and not editing for a while :(yeah, what is it with the cyclamens - ugh I need a rest) You please continue on and just let me know before y'all are ready to move it to article space and then I will copy-edit. (Or since you are in different time zones, I will catch I quiet chance). Sorry. Text can be so confusing...All is well. Fylbecatulous talk 13:51, 16 October 2014 (UTC)
Well, then please edit it now. As it is now it can't be moved anywhere - it is a google translation and I am not capable to get the points in it - it is to contorted. It is French from the beginning - and now it is English - and someone who is good at this should give it a hand. Hafspajen (talk) 13:56, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Eh, what I meant I stopped editing it not to edit conflict you... Hafspajen (talk) 13:59, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Hafs, Yes, I have this figured out now. (Laughing). If only we had voice chat. Text can be so confusing as to meaning... Please forgive my misunderstanding. Fylbecatulous talk 14:07, 16 October 2014 (UTC)

Are we ready to launch that garden? Sminthopsis84 ? Hafspajen (talk) 19:39, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

Hafs and Sminthopsis, (already pinged-lol), I have worked on every section except 'Plant species" and have moved citations up into references for those. The lede and the 'location' and 'philosophy' sections are good. In "Plant species", Hafs, you still have question marks in and aside comments and ellipses... So if y'all will work on that section since you are the two garden experts I will copy-edit after. Hafs, did you see my comment on Sminthopsis's talk page about the greenhouse? Thanks, both. ツ Fylbecatulous talk 21:12, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

I don't know about those bamboos growing so fast - I really dont. My bamboos never grow like that. Sminthopsis84 ? Hafspajen (talk) 22:15, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

Oh. When I was a somewhat naughty child, I gave "lawn fertilizer" to a bamboo patch, which then grew so fast and so thick that it was rather alarming. There is at least one giant species that is known for growing a metre or so overnight. I should study them more, so I can quote species names. I expect that it depends on the species and that at least one of those in that garden grows spectacularly.
Anyway, I think it is looking good now, much better and ready for launch (or should that be spelled "lunch" as in the picture?), if y'all agree. Sminthopsis84 (talk) 22:34, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

.OK, Sminthopsis84 - you are the giant-bamboo-maker - I let you have the last bothanical hand on it.

Yes, all. I agree the article looks good and has turned out well. Ready for relocation to main article space. Thanks for my fruit, bred and vine. Very clever. Fylbecatulous talk 04:04, 18 October 2014 (UTC)
Hafs, Just in case there is a cross-cultural misunderstanding, please do not place talkback notices on a talk page and have it appear as if it came from me (as you did at Crisco 1492's, who did get your ping). No signature, no edit summary? No answer pings? Fylbecatulous talk 16:31, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Ohy, but he knew it was not from you, but me. And the fact was there were several messages here on this talk. The message template doesn't say from whom the message is coming. But as you wish. Hafspajen (talk) 17:27, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Hafs, I have answered on your talk page but I also want to say here that I am sorry for sounding rude to you. Please forgive me. Peace. Fylbecatulous talk 22:17, 19 October 2014 (UTC)

Laika

Guess you missed all the excitment... Hafspajen (talk) 22:59, 25 October 2014 (UTC)

Thanks for message, Hafs, . Actually I was aware of the invasion of Coat's sock and read the entire episode. Sorry it happened again. As for me, I can not worry and must be happy. ツ So many words flung around there during the battle, it made me dizzy. It can get very emotional. Should I continue to contribute there, Hafs? I am not nominating any images and only add 'support' votes. Fylbecatulous talk 14:52, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Gosh, it happened again. Sigh. Of course you should! Hafspajen (talk) 15:26, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Hafs, thank you for my crazy frog and cat image. This art looks exactly how my brain feels ~!!! (I know, you still read minds). . And okay, I will still participate at FPC. Many thanks, it is something I really enjoy and I would miss you and Phil and Crisco. Blessings, Fylbecatulous talk 15:41, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
You - forgot to pray. Don'y you ever doubt. Hafspajen (talk) 15:50, 26 October 2014 (UTC)
Ah, Rosa corymbulosa . Hafspajen (talk) 14:08, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
Hafs, Thank you. ツ Roses are always appropriate, aren't they? The fragrance alone is so spiritual and uplifting. I burn rose scented incense any time I feel fractured. (Now you will tell me this one has no fragrance... ) ツ Fylbecatulous talk 14:26, 17 October 2014 (UTC)
No, all wild roses are good at that - well, most. Hafspajen (talk) 19:39, 17 October 2014 (UTC)

Regarding the References

Hi Fylbecatulous,

I've added a few sources to the Josh Lippi page. I'm new to Wikipedia, so I'm trying to get the hang of things. Thanks!

Hafs, Well I imagine you could give me a clue. Because without a clue I am thinking I might not have you right... Fylbecatulous talk 16:58, 1 November 2014 (UTC)
Sorry. I don't wan't to make you sad or upset. Since everything is followed, read and checked by anyone - and with this thing is going on - and it has more ramification you would imagine - I can't tell more. I've been working hard at University so I'm just very tired and maybe not thinking very well. -Hafspajen (talk) 18:14, 1 November 2014 (UTC)

Yes, maybe. Listen, I have been here longer than you. Actually, seven years. I have met people that have been difficult and I have met people who were nice. Most people who were nice - are still nice now. Once I had a god friend, back like in 2008, who became a difficult user. Several times he was banned - he was socking and was majorly uncivil. I became a target of him and if you really want to see someone uncivil try this. My nominations were heavily targeted at FP. This person was both banned and blocked and forbidden to participate here, but still he creates an enormous amount of accounts (you have the link above too some) and finds pleasure to make trouble, follow me around and pop up on the projects I participate - I think it is his way of taking revenge on the people here who banned him. This kinda tragic because he was not like this before, he was funny and a great friend - before- but now he hates everybody, he hates me, he hates Drmies - (and he was his friend too) and he is very ingenious in making trouble and more trouble. No end to it. Now it might be the dog articles soon. And generally I recognize him and his new accounts, and unfortunately I am more right and wrong. Wish it was different. wish he didn't do this to us.
This is of course me. I am just allergic to biting, snark, hostility and lack of courtesy. I have just fallen out with a wiki-friend here over this very issue (hotheadiness), and neither of us are admins. I am not tracing peoples edits, just happened to notice this when I tried to find out what happened with Thomas. You are of course entitled to your opinions, but I think you might exaggerate. You put extremely high demands on people and their kindness. I have never been hars with you, but I don't really like being told to apologize about things I do that there are harmless, like bothering Crisco to ask him to put an article in main space. I have been Crisco's friend a long time and I hardly think I need to apologize about asking him to simple things, he ask me I ask him - we were interacted now for a long time. I found it weird that you want me to go apologize to him when I never did him wrong. About the other guy - I might be wrong, I might be right. Wish I WAS wrong, actually... I didn't enjoyed you posting that **I slap you with a fish because you were wrong** thing either. It felt like you treat me like some child, apologize, behave yourself. I might not live up to angelic standards - but I think I am very far from the average unpolite standards people use in this place. Maybe because you have high standards, you want that people that are your friends should do the same. Unfortunately Wiki is not a tea party where people go around and act . This is the kind of interaction that happens on Wiki, and is not that unusual either. Or you just have to walk over to WP:ANI to see what happens over there every single day - If you compare this kind of thing you might reconsider maybe the level of negativity you for the moment consider me being on. There is no such thing as perfect people and a perfect world, and nobody is perfect - but there are levels and levels. Hafspajen (talk) 21:57, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

  • Hafs, I am going to number my points for clarity.
  1. I was not watching you either. I found your comment to the new dog editor the same way you did. The dog articles were on my watch list and whereas you thought he was up to no good and left an unkind comment to a new user, I was happy someone was doing such a dreadful task.
  2. I wanted an apology to me for the talkback notice on Crisco 1492's page. It appeared to be me bothering him in an impatient way: [2]. Whereas you bother him, I never do. The talkback was from me, even though you placed it. You did not sign or leave a comment.
  3. I am suffering with a fatal illness; physically, emotionally and mentally. I cannot be stressed. Editing Wikipedia is all I do for happiness and to keep my intelligence and I shall not be driven away. You are not the first editor I am avoiding and you probably won't be the last. I sense an unstable temperament in you when you yell in all caps and in bold text and !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! and fuss even at your friends. If you have never done this, go ahead and call me a liar right here. Please. Because it makes me fearful that you will fuss at me in the same way, I am not paying any more attention to what you are doing on Wikipedia.
  4. I am living up to my promise and not editing dog articles and not going to FPC's and commenting so you don't see me and I don't see you. I am not interacting with you. I still care for you very much, but my Wikipedia experience is going to be fairy dust and angelic cats.
  5. So here you are one month after my goodbye post to you on November 1: [3]. And you have come to bring up old perceived grudges and to argue with me. Why? why? I weigh 92 pounds and will not be able to eat for days because this upsets me. I have the 'page notice' that says please don't upset me. You are not the only one with a tender heart who can get hurt feelings. This is evidence that you can be abusive that you come to pick a fight on my talk page.
  6. Since I have already mentioned Crisco and pinged him because I did, if you like I will email him as to the truthfulness of my state of my distress.
  7. I am requesting an apology from you. Any kind over anything. Otherwise it will be a talk page ban. Sorry, Hafs. Fylbecatulous talk 23:23, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
You have my sincere apology. I wasn't going about upsetting you merely was trying to EXPLAIN thing. Sorry for you experienced it as something upseting. Indeed it was not my goal. Hafspajen (talk) 23:27, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Hafspajen, you are not allowed to ever edit my talk page again

  • Hafspajen, for attempting to remove your most hurtful comments after the fact to me which were the most distressing, you are now not allowed to make any edits on my talk page. Not new edits, no refactoring past edits. No removing old edits of yours or rewording. Nothing. Please do not return. This is a talk page ban. Sorry. I will also notify you on your page once so you are clear. I will be classy and as kind as possible and have a warning in my page notice which is not seen unless an editor actually goes to my edit window. You are right, you will not see me on this talk page again.
  • And no thanking me for edits like this: NOVEMBER 22: Hafspajen thanked you for your edit on Wikipedia:Requests for adminship/Thomas.W.\, which you quoted above. ( I am just allergic to biting, snark, hostility and lack of courtesy. I have just fallen out with a wiki-friend here over this very issue (hotheadiness), and neither of us are admins) I am not tracing peoples edits, just happened to notice this when I tried to find out what happened with Thomas. You did that in a passive-aggressive way just so I'd know you read it and did not like it. Stop watching me. Fylbecatulous talk 19:12, 5 December 2014 (UTC)

Hello

peace

I've noticed recently many of your edits have been in relation to articles I have bolstered from obscurity. I'm glad, as long as you're interested in the group's. If you truly are then perhaps we could cooperate more to be more effective in improving these great artists' pages. If not, then I question why you edit many of the ones I've done beforehand. Regardless, peace to you! — Preceding unsigned comment added by TheGracefulSlick (talkcontribs) 06:26 29 January 2015 (UTC)

TheGracefulSlick, Hi!. In a way we share a similar interest in music, albums and musical artists. As a member of one of the musicians work groups, I watch this category:

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Infobox_musical_artist_with_missing_or_invalid_Background_field. Any article you add an infobox to needs to have the background parameter added and filled in.

({{Infobox musical artist) | background = **Mandatory** Use one: solo_singer, non_vocal_instrumentalist, non_performing_personnel, or temporary }}

If an article is lacking this field or has anything other than the mandatory category, it shows up as an error in the page I watch. So I have been adding them for you. After that, any other cleanup or categories that would be good, I do as well. For example: the new article you have written: Barbara Robison, I would fix the references because they are now using bare links and I would find more categories to add. The more categories an article has, the easier it is for a reader to find an article. For example, in musical groups articles I have added what record label a group recorded for and when they formed and disbanded. Hope this helps you understand. This is just a part of Wikipedia. Any article you add to or create, the next good editor hopefully will come along and add something or improve it. All the best and happy editing. Fylbecatulous talk 14:47, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

Thank you I did not mean to come on cold if I did. I appreciate you improving my article because she is an artist I am fond of— Preceding unsigned comment added by TheGracefulSlick (talkcontribs) 16:06, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

  • TheGracefulSlick, no worries. You were not cold at all. (P.S. It helps if you sign your posts in talk pages discussions.) (with the four (~~~~). ツ Fylbecatulous talk 17:03, 29 January 2015 (UTC)

No

I'm not signing my name on this talk page or anything pertaining to you. I do not find it "productive". Oh and "while we're at it" you can not use my talk page. Thanks, but not really

Not Really

The only difference "sweetheart" is your not an editor, you are just a nuisance trying to feel relevant. I suggest you stop taking things personally and "carry on" with your dismal existence on these great projects.

Apologies

I apologize for my past actions which I've considered after deep thought. Even if I think your wrong or otherwise, I now know there is better ways to resolve it. Think as you will, but I just want a peaceful compromise. So again, apologies.
