The Empire of Sunilian States was founded in the year 2011, and is therefore one of the newest nations in the world. This micronation consists of actual physical borders and territory. It is surrounded by Austria, and Germany.
Etymology[edit]
The name "Sunilia" comes from the name of the first emperor of Sunilia. His first name is Linus. Backwards it is Sunil, therefore he named his nation Sunilia. The "Empire of Sunilian States" was added later, as the territory of Sunilia expanded.
History[edit]
Sunilia started as a very small micronation founded in 2011, meanwhile though has an area of several hundred square meters. The most recent increases in territory were the claim of "Atlantis", surrounded by Germany, and "Susania", surrounded by Germany as well. Within the existing time, Sunilia has not only expaned it's military, but also has increased its economics.
Government & Politics[edit]
Sunilia is a total monarchy that is led by the emperor, which is currently Linus the first. Therefore the government has complete power over the nation. However, the government is very citicen-oriented, and therefore the nations population has increased over the time. All provinces were not gained with military, but rather through political power.
The newest larger political happenings in Sunilia are related to the Crimea crisis. Sunilia has closed the border and therefore no guests are allowed within Sunilia. The Sunilian armed forces, of which a large part is model scale, were alerted to level 2 of 5, cautious and are now ever-present on the roads of Sunilia. For the first time in Sunilian history, the entire police force was ordered to serve the military during the conflict. The police force is entirely model-scale.
The high members of the government of the Empire of Sunilian States have begun discussions if it would make sense to release the province "Atlantis" as a satellite nation with a dictatorship government, as a Democratic People's republic. However, these discussions have been slowed down due to the new idea of a possible territorial increase of 400,000m². This increase would then be the first physical Sunilian territory not inside an apartment or house.
Law & Order[edit]
In case of a conflict or a crime, the police of Sunilia is expected to react. Since around 65 of the Sunilian citicens are only 1.5cm big, the police force consists of model vehicles, just like the military. The Sunilian police force is surprisingly strong, considering the size of the nation. The capital Bencia has an own police force, a different, larger police force (in combination with the military) is in charge for the rest of the nation. The Bencia capital police force is quite small, it only consists of a helicopter and two personnel carrying vehicles. The rest of the police force has significantly more force. However, this second police force is not allowed to enter Bencia without an official allowance that can only be in affect for 24 hours before a new one must be published.

Foreign Relations[edit]
Sunilia is in good contact and a military relation with Alexsisia, which is currently struggling for independance with its incredibly large, but outdated army. However, the Empire of Sunilian states largely relies on individual people in Germany and Austria to survive.
Military[edit]
Most of the Sunilian armed forces are model scale, however an increasing part of the armed forces of the nation are actual armed forces and equipment. The parts of the text written in CAPITAL letters shows that this is not model scale, but actually works on real scale.
The Military of Sunilia consists mainly of the air force, however there is a significant sea force as well. The land force consists of (model) Police and a few (model) vehicles as well as the RADIO, AEROSPACE AND SATELLITE CONTROL, WHICH IS PART OF THE SUNILIAN SECRET SERVICE CSMIA (CENTRAL SUNILIAN MILITARY INTELIGENCE AGENCY). The land based force has one special (model) vehicle (which can carry 1 person that is 1/70th of a real person's size). This vehicle is armoured, therefore can hardly be damaged. It can control the (model) radio space, disturb electornic systems, track anything with it's radar and is armed with a rocket that can be used against any target. There are several (model) underground facilities, one of which is Atomic, Biologic and Chemical weapon proof (model scale). The air force is in model scale as well, but is surprisingly strong considering the size of the nation. Significantly over 25 aircraft are in direct service of the Sunilian air force, short SAF. Nations that Sunilia has relations with, mainly Alexisia, have a large air force as well. Two (model) aircraft carriers and one helicopter carrier serve the Sunilian navy (the entire navy is in model scale), as well as one destroyer, one (outdated) submarine and 2 FURTHER SURVEILANCE AND PATROL SUBMARINES. There is also a (model) multi-task ship in service, which is usually parked in the province Ogel. For local control of the border or the shore, the Navy also tends to use WINDSURFING as a common technique for fast intercepting. The military has the right to borrow any vehicles and forces from the Sunilian Police, fire fighters, coast guard or medical helpers. The navy, however, is not often in use (because most of it is not able to swim). For more information on the militry, please visit the government website.
The SAF has three main air bases, and can use temporary air bases as well. The largest is at the Sunilia International Airport (model scale), short SIA, on the S half. The N half is the civil part. Due to the risk of an emergency takeoff, the movement area has three taxiways that connect it to the central runway 27/09. The civil movement area has only one taxiway that leads to the runway. The fact that there are three taxiways allow an emergency takeoff of several planes at a time or right after each other. The movement area is covered in a special type of asphalt that allows easy and fast manouvering and has no risk of being damaged in the exhaust of a jet. It absorbs the heat rapidly, so that it is nearly impossible to track where there was an airplane with just a heat sensor or infrared camera. At the SIA airbase, known as SIA-AB, there is usually at least one aircraft manned and ready for an emergency takeoff. A further air base is located near Bencia, it is the Bencia airport, which is a quite small air field with an asphalt runway. It is not only used for civil gliders, but also for military helicopters and the helicopter of the police force of Bencia is permanently located here. The third airbase is located in Ogel and is home to a few aircraft, including the helicopters that are designated for the helicopter carrier.
There was a fourth, secret air base in Germany once, but this has been disolved and destroyed. There were no permanently deployed aircraft there.

Geography & Climate[edit]
Sunilia is located in the flatlands of N Germany and just south of the main Alps in Austria. Sunilia is generally located in flat terrain, However near bencia there are hills that have formed due to Seismic activity. Sunilia has, though, not experienced a damaging earthquake yet. The climate in Berncia is typical for northern central Europe. In Winter there is a major risk of European storms striking the capital, while in Ober Auweia and in Ma Greb there is risk of quite high snowfall. The summers in the capital are generally quite cool and wet, only a few weeks are very warm. In summer there is a high risk of the claimed areas that are surrounded by Austria to be struck by heat waves or severe thunderstorms. Tornados are possible, have not been observed yet. But funnelclouds have been observed. Sunilia has a very effective weather service, which is called M.I.L.K. and also makes forecasts for out of Sunilia. Sunilia also has a Geology service, which mainly concentrates on Greece.
Economy[edit]
Sunilia has a very low economy, exports usually only information. However, Sunilia does have a source of money that can (for security reasons) not be mentioned here. In the capital Bencia there is a finance office (model scale), however this recently burned down. Therefore it is currently not in use.
The Sunilian currency "Sun" is currently not in use, but it will be soon released.
The national railway system (model scale) only connects the capital Bencia with the surrounding, but is well equipted with 1 disel, 3 (of which 2 can drive) steam trains and 1 ICE 3 train. Both freight and passengers can be transported on the railways.
Sunilia has 3 airports, of which two are in frequent use. The airport of the capital Bencia is mainly an air field, which is used for civil gliders, and the military (see the category "military"). The larger airport is the Sunilia International Airport, SIA. This airport is large (all airports are in model scale, though) and can take care of numerous aircraft at the same time. This airport is also the main airbase for the Sunilian airforce (see the category "military").
Sunilia is currently working on publishing the first postage stamps.
Culture[edit]
Sunilia does not have a significant culture. However, there are many festivals, usually air shows or military demonstrations, that are spread during the year. There are several yearly demonstrations of the emergency rescue force as well. The birthday of the emperor of Sunilia is also specially celebrated, just like the arrival of special people. A lot of people celebrate Austrian festivals, since Sunilia partly evolved from Austria and the roots of Sunilian population is Austrian.
