Samuel Worth architect(1779–1870) designed many buildings in the 1830s for the northern English town of Sheffield. His office at 5 East Parade was recorded in Pigot's Directory of 1834.[1] His most notable buildings include:

  • Sheffield General Cemetery Main Gatehouse, Egyptian Gate, Lodges, Nonconformist Chapel and Catacombs 1836 [2][3]
  • Cutlers Hall 1832 (with Benjamin Broomhead Taylor) [4]
  • Montague House 1836 [5]
  • 17 Church Street 1838, head office of Sheffield and Hallamshire Bank (later Midland Bank, later HSBC Group) [6] [7]
  • Shrewesbury Almshouses, Norfolk Road [8]
