Deleting Articles

I personally think that deleting articles is bad for Wikipedia. Every day more articles are deleted and more and more content is no longer available on Wikipedia. If someone wants information and they search for it, what better use for Wikipedia than to contain useful content? Merging is much better. If the article does not merit notability, a better way than to delete the article would be to merge it with another and have it as a section. This keeps content on Wikipedia and satisfies the editors who are crazy for notability.
