Domenico Pontoriero is a graduate research associate at the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida in Tampa. His undergraduate work in International Business and Management Information Systems and current graduate studies in Human Geography led him to work on the Public Involvement Performance Measurement. His primary current project is leading the development, testing, and revisions of a software package that will allow end users to track public involvement efforts of major projects. Along with public involvement, his areas of interest include urban design, social/environmental justice, transportation systems, and public transportation. He is highly proficient at making sense of and organizing data, and he also provides geographic information system support to CUTR. As his Geography Master’s program comes to a close, Domenico is working on a thesis that explores the connection between available transit infrastructure and a recent shift of urban populations in Tampa, Florida.
