This fosters fierce cut-throat competition among the educational institutions since parents by exerting "school choice" helps to do away with the less desired ones. Parents when selecting a school also takes into consideration the teacher-student ratio. A low teacher student ratio enables the teacher to give individual attention to the needs of every child in the class.

Digital media plays a pivotal role in influencing the thought process and behavior of parents. Media is a powerful tool where any messages can be conveyed through fractions of seconds. The media can manipulate, influence, persuade and pressurize the parents both in a positive or negative way.
