betinternet.com PLC was incorporated in the Isle of Man in May 1998 and commenced trading on the 5th October 1998 from its office based in Douglas, Isle of Man.
For sports betting, beinternet is licensed and regulated by the UK Gambling Commission. Betinternet's casino, games and poker operations are licensed and regulated by the Isle of Man Government. The company headquarters is on Nelson Street, Douglas, Isle of Man.

The company became betinternet.com PLC when it was admitted to the Alternative Investment Market (AIM) on the London Stock Exchange on the 9th May 2000. In November 2007, the company changed its name from betinternet.com plc to Webis Holdings PLC to more accurately reflect its role within the group. In 2013 betinternet re-branded and relaunched their website offering multiple sports, online casino, live casino and In Play betting [1].
Since the launch of the website in March 2000, the Company has become a significant and respected player in the internet fixed-odds sports betting industry. Its website has customers in most countries and provides betting opportunities 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The website has a traditional focus on the Far East region, highlighted by content directed at this market, such as Asian handicap betting and a Live Dealer Casino, as well as a variety of Casino and Slot games, betinternet were also the first major UK operators to launch Quickfire Poker, a single wallet client part of the MPN (formerly the Microgaming Poker Network) [2].
