1. What does FAQ mean?

Frequently Asked Questions

2. How do you change Font Size and Color?

Use HTML codes

3. How do you move or rename pages?

Use the Move button. The Move button is located beside the History button when you're editing a page.

4. How do I revert the changes made by someone else?

To revert a page to an earlier version:
  • Go to the page you wish to revert, click on the History tab at the top of the page, then click on the time and date of the earlier version you want to revert to. It will not work if you click on 'cur', 'last', or "Compare selected versions".
  • When the page displays, text similar to this: (Revision as of 23:19 Jul 15, 2003), will display. It appears below the page's title, in place of the From {project name}, usually seen.
  • Verify that you've selected the correct version, then click a link to edit the page as you would normally.
  • You'll get a warning, above the edit box, about editing an out-of-date revision.
  • Ignore the warning and save the page. Be sure to add the word "revert" (or "rv") to the edit summary

5. What is the page that helps you create your user page

This page

6. How will you know when someone joined wikipedia?

This Page. This is a combined display of upload, deletion, protection, user block, page move, user creation, and sysop logs. You can narrow down the view by selecting a log type, the user name, or the affected page.

7.How do you become an admin?

If you have been around for a while and you would like sysop access, add your name to Wikipedia:Requests for adminship according to the guidelines mentioned there, and a discussion will take place by fellow editors in order to determine if there is consensus that you should become an administrator.

It is recommended that you write for Wikipedia for a while before requesting administrator status, since other users will have to recognize you before they can agree on your promotion. Also keep in mind that each language's Wikipedia has its own policies for administrators, which may differ somewhat.

Although multiple user accounts are allowed on Wikipedia in certain circumstances, only one should have admin powers beyond being a basic editor.

Be careful, please! If you are granted access, we ask that you exercise care in using these functions, especially the ability to delete pages and their history, to delete images (which is permanent!), and the ability to block IP addresses. You can learn about your newfound powers at the Wikipedia:Administrators' how-to guide. You should also take a look at the pages linked from the Administrators' reading list before using any of your admin abilities.
