If you happen to care, I go by Alex, Aleks, Aleksandra, or Alexandra online. I joined Wikipedia because I, randomly at 3am ended up adding captions to a wikimedia commons recording of Obama giving a speech at Selma. I encountered this while being off topic from a research paper for Uni. I didn't actually join then, but it happened to be in my mind. I later joined while furthering my additions to the same Obama speech.

My interests roughly lay in the realm of Jewish History, Queer History/Gay Power movements, Civil Rights, Yiddish (although I regret it, I have yet to learn it), Computer accessibility, Open Source and FOSS software, Linux, and Digital Privacy.

More about me in case you happen to care[edit]

I'm a roughly early 20s individual in a 4 year degree program in NYC for History. I am in fact, a woman who exists online (gasp!). Aiming to become a schoolteacher, high school I think? I also happen to be queer as can be. I culturally identify myself within Judaism, but if anything I have a strong atheistic bias, I would spit in the face of any god brass enough to reveal themselves to me. I love iPods. I hate phones. I hate computers. Don't screw with me or I'll screw back. Despite *mostly* passing as a 'respectable' member of society, I do my best to follow in the proper footsteps of the riots of my predecessors. If anyone comes to me with a technology problem, regardless of what, my response will always be 'Use Linux'.

The previously mentioned Selma speech. I'm going to be working on this for a while when I have free time. Why? honestly don't ask me. Selma Speech

P.S. I klepped a large amount of my formatting from User:Fayenatic london since he was the first user I arbitrarily found.
