Trumpets in the Dawn is a 1949 Australian radio serial by Morris West.[2][3]

The Brisbane Mail said West "certainly rides the UNESCO and UNO hobby horse to a crawl."[4]

The serial played again in 1953.[5]

Premise[edit]

According to one account "When Professor Gernlrl Hancock arrives in Tuscany, he finds his house occupied by 50 young lads whom a priest and a young woman have salvaged from the social wreck. He is persuaded to help them in their work of education and rehabilitation."[6]
