GOTY split[edit]

@Pinky Rhino: We previously merged a separate Game Award GOTY template back here because there is no real reason for them to be split. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 01:58, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

As each year goes by more and more winners are going to be announced, so why not put them in their own template. This current template is just for the whole show in general. Give the GOTY winners its own template before this one gets clustered. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pinky Rhino (talkcontribs) 02:32, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
WP:CRYSTALBALL. We have no way of knowing of the show will even still exist in five years. This is something will should do when it actually becomes cluttered, not now with only five entries. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 03:26, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Definitely should wait until at least a decade of GotY are available to list, per above. --Masem (t) 03:29, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
However, we could maybe move the event wikilink into the year mentioned in the GOTY group (I.E: The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild (2017), but I don't really see an issue with the current format as it is today. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:28, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
