Ashes of Ariandel[edit]

I have added a link to the first DLC, Ashes of Ariandel, but it was removed by a moderator. This DLC is a full expansion just like Ringed City, and deserves its own article, and yet it redirects to Dark Souls III and the template does not reflect the fact the game received 2x DLCs and only states 1x. I would like to have it added please. 188.66.109.177 (talk) 09:51, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It needs to have its own article to be in a navbox per WP:BIDIRECTIONAL. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 17:28, 25 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I have attempted to create its own page but it currently exists and simply redirects to Dark Souls III main article. I do not know how to stop this redirect, I don't think I can as a regular user. 188.66.109.177 (talk) 15:14, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Simply creating an article doesn't fix things as they must be independently notable enough to warrant one. Did you add enough citations prior to its merger? ~ Dissident93 (talk) 18:52, 26 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I did not create the article as it was impossible to do so from the options I could find. I did, however, create a link to it in the template. It is notable enough if the other DLC, The Ringed City, is notable and has an article. So I would say it warrants one. I seem to be unable to create the article and it automatically redirects to the main game article. Please can an administrator create a stub, which I will then be happy to add to? 188.66.109.177 (talk) 13:06, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Just because one exists for another DLC doesn't automatically warrant the creation of another. By "impossible" do you mean you failed to find enough reliable sources? Honestly, if you ask me I don't think any of these DLCs deserve to be split off from the main article. ~ Dissident93 (talk) 16:51, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
By impossible I mean that I could not find a way on Wikipedia to stop the redirect that is in place. The sources and citations should be no problem, they are often the same as Ringed City such as the developer website. I know that no DLC automatically deserves a page, however I do feel like these two are both comparable in size and scale and should be considered equal in calibre. If one does, I feel the other should. Or as you say, none should. 188.66.109.177 (talk) 08:17, 7 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
