From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Instructions for creating a new domain file
  1. Replace occurrences of 'your domain title' (two at the top; two at bottom) with your title. This could be the same as the main article, the "top" category name, or the name of the nav template for an article topic area. (details)
  2. Add section headers named according to the WP:NAMEDREFS guideline (e.g., 'Lastname-YYYY'). (details)
  3. In each section, add one CS1-type citation template ({{cite book}}, {{cite journal}}, {{cite magazine}}, and so on).
  4. Optional: add useful article links to § See also; a nav template may also be useful here.
  5. Provide an edit summary (e.g., "Creating domain page your domain title."), and save the page.
  6. Optionally move the page, replacing the auto-generated part of the name with your domain title.
  7. Create an Edit request at Template talk:Reflib requesting incorporation of your new domain into the template.

Clicking the button below will create a new page at 'Template:Reflib/New domain page-20240524-05:19' preloaded with some useful info. You will have the opportunity to view and modify it before saving. This is a non-destructive operation, and if it doesn't result in what you want, just try it again.

The boxed instructions at the top will appear above the edit window of the new page to guide you. However, once you Preview the new page with your changes, the instructions won't reappear, so it's probably best to right-click/context-click the button so you can continue to refer to the instructions here while you're going through the procedure in the new window.
