Thelma (1910 film)[edit]

Improved to Good Article status by ChrisGualtieri (talk). Nominated by Calvin999 (talk) at 08:56, 3 June 2015 (UTC).

  • Starting with matters that are approved: Attained GA status on 3 June 2015. All non-lead paragraphs have inline citations. Checks for copyvio reveals no problems (e.g. [1]). Note that most of the content in the Plot section is quoted from The Moving Picture World in which the copyright has expired, having been published in 1910 (link). QPQ review performed.
The only problem is that content in the hook is not cited in the article with an inline citation to a reliable source. As per section 3b of WP:WIADYK, "Each fact in the hook must be supported in the article by at least one inline citation to a reliable source, appearing no later than the end of the sentence(s) offering that fact." This needs to be corrected before this can move forward. North America1000 17:07, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
I am confused. The text is: "An incomplete 35 mm print of the film survives in the Library of Congress archives. This print is missing the main title, credits, and likely the conclusion of the film. Only the funeral scene shows red film tinting.[1]" is not an inline citation? Though I added it anyways. ChrisGualtieri (talk) 17:55, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
Per section 3b of WP:WIADYK, "Citations at the end of the paragraph are not sufficient." North America1000 17:59, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
  • Content of the hook is now cited with an inline citation in the article to what appears likely to be a reliable source (link). North America1000 18:03, 3 June 2015 (UTC)
The source linked for the hook [2] doesn't contain the words library, congress, or Thelma so I don't see how it supports the hook. EEng (talk) 02:24, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
@EEng: To access the source, go to this page, select "Download Thanhouser Film Database" and then open the XLS file and go to entry #182 there, where the pertinent information is present. North America1000 14:54, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
Thanks. I'd like to say the cite should somehow indicate that, but I don't see how to do that in a not-awkward way so let's just leave it. EEng (talk) 16:49, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
@EEng: To facilitate reader access, I added the Thanhouser Film Database XLS file link url to the source in the article (diff). North America1000 17:34, 5 June 2015 (UTC)
