  • ... that Taingda Mingyi U Pho (pictured) engineered the massacre of 40 members of the royal family in order to kill almost all possible heirs to the throne? Source: Bunge, Frederica M. (1983). Burma, a Country Study. Headquarters, Department of the Army.

General: Article is new enough and long enough

Policy compliance:

  • Adequate sourcing: No - I'll have to AGF regarding the reliability of the Burmese sources on the article, but Globalsecurity.org in particular seems questionable, the website overall looks very dubious with previous concerns raised on RSN. Oddly enough this particular passage cited seems to have been copied from the country study, as such this source should probably be removed from the article. The source also doesn't explicitly say that he "felt powerful enough to offer the throne to the late king's son", merely that he supported his accession.
  • Neutral: Yes
  • Free of copyright violations, plagiarism, and close paraphrasing: Yes

Hook eligibility:

  • Cited: No - I can't see any details about the queen ordering the massacre in the given source, would you be able to provide a quote? Could be my bad.
  • Interesting: Yes
  • Other problems: No - As it stands the hook doesn't really makes sense and in fact I would suggest the removal of the latter bit after the comma - the massacre in itself is very interesting. It should probably read "a massacre" rather than "the massacre".
Image: Image is freely licensed, used in the article, and clear at 100px.
QPQ: Done.

Overall: Interesting article on a period of Burmese history I learned nothing about, and an interesting hook, which just needs some tidying up. Should be good to go once these issues are resolved. GGT (talk) 21:30, 20 November 2022 (UTC)

@GGT: Hi Thank you for reviewing this. I've fixed the hook that support per source Source: Bunge, Frederica M. (1983). Burma, a Country Study. Headquarters, Department of the Army..
Over 7 days.... Could another editor please take a look at this? Taung Tan (talk) 19:14, 25 November 2022 (UTC)

The concerns raised by the previous reviewer seem to have been addressed. The article was new and long enough at the time of its nomination. No copyvio detected. Hook is interesting and now directly cited. AGF on offline/Burmese sources. Thank you. Kingoflettuce (talk) 12:01, 27 November 2022 (UTC)

Image seems to check out too. Kingoflettuce (talk) 12:01, 27 November 2022 (UTC)
  • @Taung Tan and Kingoflettuce: is "orchestrated" a fair word? It seems like he didn't plan the whole thing himself, nor did he order the murders... maybe "played a major role in"? theleekycauldron (talkcontribs) (she/her) 03:11, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
@Theleekycauldron: Hi I think engineered is most proper word. Many source support this word. Thanks Taung Tan (talk) 05:59, 30 November 2022 (UTC)
