MFi Program[edit]

The Made for iPod badge

  • ... that in order to display Apple Inc.'s Made for iPod badge, suppliers must agree to be bound to Apple's Supplier Responsibility Code?
  • Comment: I'd like comments on sourcing for the hook, and whether or not a "TUAW claims..." needs to be added? Alternate hooks are easy and still punchy, if need be.

Right, so if we add the text as in the comment, is it then good to go? (continued below)
The hook would still not be accurate. You need to propose and ALT hook.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 18:34, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
That's what the comment did, propose an alternate hook. IE, "...according to a report in TUAW, in in order to join Apple Inc.'s MFi Program, suppliers must agree to be bound to Apple's Supplier Responsibility Code?"
It's a widely quoted news source, USEBYOTHERS. Maury Markowitz (talk) 18:12, 13 June 2013 (UTC)
  • Needs a full review, including on sourcing and hook issues mentioned above. BlueMoonset (talk) 22:57, 2 July 2013 (UTC)
  • Please formalize the Alt hook in standard format. See the rest of the nomination page to learn the format.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 00:41, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
  • ALT1: ... that according to a report in TUAW, in order to join Apple Inc.'s MFi Program, suppliers must agree to be bound to Apple's Supplier Responsibility Code? —BlueMoonset (talk) 02:05, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
  • I believe that "According to our source at the event, Apple intends to make compliance with its supplier code of conduct a condition of MFi licensing." from the source supports this hook. Thus, I feel that ALT1 now passes.--TonyTheTiger (T/C/BIO/WP:CHICAGO/WP:FOUR) 04:19, 3 July 2013 (UTC)
