Karl-Heinz Stroux[edit]

Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus

Created by Voceditenore (talk), Gerda Arendt (talk). Nominated by Gerda Arendt (talk) at 21:29, 9 July 2013 (UTC).

  • Long enough, and it was created on July 8. The hook should expand on how Stroux was responsible for the new building. Was he the one who commissioned it? Did he oversee the construction or design of the new building?--Typing General (talk) 02:40, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
  • how can we say that he was the director of the municipal company who took the initiative to have it built? The wording "responsible" is from the source. --Gerda Arendt (talk) 08:43, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
  • Would this work as an alternative hook: "a new building of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus was opened in 1970 during the tenure of theatre director Karl Heinz Stroux"? And I find it fascinating that Stroux was an actor in a Fritz Lang film. If there's any source that verifies it, the fact could also be used as a hook.--Typing General (talk) 08:58, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
  • Agree, I don't have time right now but would like to expand the article. Actually, the theatre is under expansion as well, no rush, --Gerda Arendt (talk) 09:16, 11 July 2013 (UTC)
  • After some excursions to the opera, I take your ALT. That he acted in a Lang movie is interesting, but many others did the same. The article on the building will grow, but not to DYK size. In case there is no room for a pic I suggest ALT2.
ALT1: ... that a new building of the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus (pictured) was opened in 1970 during the tenure of theatre director Karl Heinz Stroux?
ALT2: ... that Karl Heinz Stroux directed the German premiere of Samuel Beckett's Waiting for Godot in 1953, with the author in the audience? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 14:32, 17 July 2013 (UTC)
ALT2. Nice job.--Typing General (talk) 18:24, 18 July 2013 (UTC)
