  • Length, date and hook seem fine. Sources support the hook facts. I do have a problem with the quality of the translated prose. For example "formerly the city in front of Colin, part of the medieval city of Berlin double-Colin" is pretty baffling. I think a bit of re-phrasing is needed.  Tigerboy1966  05:49, 29 July 2012 (UTC)

The prose is now fixed up, and some omitted things have been reinserted. I've corrected a few references but have more to do on correcting and adding to those. Also the material at the end on other buildings could usefully be added; that's on my list to do, too.   • I have now expanded the article to include all the notable buildings surrounding the park that are in the German Wikipedia article. I found I had to almost completely redo the references, and I have added several. I've accordingly added a credit template for myself. Calling for a re-review; and in view of the hook, a picture of one of the bears seems more appropriate; see right. The licence on both pictures appears to be the same.   • The article talks about two bears, not three, in the park: Maxi and Schnute. Why do the hooks say three? Also, one of the article seems to say that only one of them is the official mascot, although the bear is a symbol of the city. BlueMoonset (talk) 01:51, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
I've changed the hook to read just "bears". Thine Antique Pen can't read German and used outdated English-language sources at this point. The German sources make clear that one of the three bears, Tilo, has since died, and that only one of the bears is actually the "official" Berlin bear: amtierend. German from the city's page on the park, footnote 2: Von den zwei Braunbärdamen Maxi und Schnute ist Schnute die "amtierende" Berliner Stadtbärin im Bärenzwinger.   • Restoring tick, and striking the original hook, which still has "three". ALT1 is fine, though you might want to consider "houses" rather than "contains": an actual house isn't required; it can also mean habitat. BlueMoonset (talk) 05:38, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
Ah I see - in my bleary-eyed pre-work state, I edited ALT1 and not the original hook :-) The Bärenzwinger is translated "bear pit" in the place I took the translation from, but it resembles what you see at most zoos: indoor quarters plus an outside area. So I've gone ahead and changed "contains" to "houses" as you suggested. --Yngvadottir (talk) 11:51, 2 August 2012 (UTC)
