Fighting Vanguard

Created by Buidhe (talk). Self-nominated at 08:28, 23 January 2024 (UTC). Post-promotion hook changes for this nom will be logged at Template talk:Did you know nominations/Fighting Vanguard; consider watching this nomination, if it is successful, until the hook appears on the Main Page.

  • New enough and long enough. Hook facts ALT0 and ALT1 present, though I note the article is inconsistent as to Hafez vs. Hafiz, Buidhe. Hook fact AGF on offline book sources. Sammi Brie (she/her • tc) 06:03, 15 February 2024 (UTC)
@Sammi Brie and Buidhe: For ALT0 the term "guerrilla war" is not mentioned in the article. For ALT1 the hook says "multiple relatives" but I only see two in our article and Hafez al-Assad's personal physician.Lightburst (talk) 15:56, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
Sure, Lightburst, for 1) you are correct that the article does not use the exact words "guerrilla war". What wording would you suggest instead? 2) the definition of multiple is more than one. I think it's better than saying two because none of the sources have an exhaustive list of all killings attributed to this group. (t · c) buidhe 21:16, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
@Sammi Brie and Buidhe: I think my own understanding of multiple is more than two: synonyms are: numerous, many and several. So the hook should changed to "two" perhaps? And if guerrilla war can be added to the article, that would be ideal. Lightburst (talk) 21:26, 20 February 2024 (UTC)
