Merge[edit]

Like the companies themselves, could this article be merged into Manitoba Hydro? The history of the two companies are so mixed together that there'd be a lot of repetition if the articles remain separate. --Wtshymanski 14:25, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'd recommend against a merger. Winnipeg Hydro was a separate entitly for almost a century; the page is only a stub now, but it could expanded into something more significant. CJCurrie 23:20, 12 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Expansion would be a good thing. It could go into the reasons for founding Winnipeg Hydro in the first place, that is, trying to get the price of power down from the 20 cents/kwh the private power companies were charging at the time.
