NPOV[edit]

This article seems like advertising to me. cmh 05:07, 1 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I changed some of the language, but it's still POVy, and I also doubt its accuracy. For example no mention of known problems with the beta version. I've added a cleanup tag. -213.219.160.105 17:17, 2 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]
NO! It is a description of what the Windows Live Safety Scanner do and fix. Some criticism may be needed, but the service is so new that criticism has not cropped up yet. One of my criticism is that the service has unnecessary long name compared to, for example, Trend Micro's correspondence - HouseCall. Re-ad 22:55, 3 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]
One way or the other, it's not a useful or interesting article. It says nothing about performance cost, competing products, development, overall bugs (It's now been years since the last comment). 71.198.176.13 (talk) 07:35, 24 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Short[edit]

This article seems rather short to me.

The result of the proposal was NOT TO MERGE THE ARTICLES per discussion below.

Oppose Two different services. OneCare is a client service and requires a subscription, and comes with antivirus, backup and many other features. Whereas Safety Scanner is a free online scanning tool. Although named under the same branding "OneCare", they are two distinctively different services. Pikablu0530 09:51, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose as per above. --CrnaGora 14:28, 19 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agree They are both on the same website and are treated by Microsoft's Windows Live team as somewhat the same service. Titan602 08:01, 3 June 2007 (UTC)
Then Windows Live OneCare Family Safety will said to be the same service simply because it has the name "OneCare" in it. It's technically two different services despite the fact that Microsoft brand them under the same name. Also note that the services were developed by two different teams.Pikablu0530 14:17, 3 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Oppose They are indeed 2 diffrent programs that both provide diffrent features, Saftey scanner should stay seperate. --Elven6 22:10, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Very well. Would anyone like to take the merge banner off? - Titan602 - The mind of darkness 15:44, 26 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
