Comment[edit]

Bold texthey, i have to do a report on William still for black history month. If you know any thing about him please write it here. I will check back later. signed, Lost

Dear Lost, Check the sources on the article page. I intend to write more about this article. If you have specific questions, you can contact me through my talk page. Still is a major but little-known figure in American history. Bruxism 05:45, 8 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]
There are almost no scholarly papers available on William Still. I have added one to the External Links; there is a video reading on the paper at the same site. Jlockard

Why the move?[edit]

This article was moved from "William Still" to "William Still (abolitionist)" with a redirect created at "William Still." But why? The notes say there are 2 William Stills - so where is the disambig. page? Who is the other William Still? This William Still is the more prominent, so there is no reason for the superfluous "abolitionist" tag. Are we now going to start identifying everyone by a special tag, like Frederick Douglass (abolitionist) or Abraham Lincoln (president)? Some admin please undo this move and redirect. Also, this page has been vandalized many times, but only restored in passing with information lost. Please be more careful when restoring after vandalism - hit /undo/ don't just delete what you don't recognize. Thanks. Bruxism (talk) 06:25, 15 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

the other Still is famous for his video about the Federal Reserve called "The Money Masters - How International Bankers Gained Control of America". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.111.154.18 (talk) 02:39, 7 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

more work needed[edit]

I copyedited this longer and more on Martin Luther King day than I expected, and so haven't posted another article as I had planned. The libraries are closed, so I cannot figure out whether Still died in Philly or in Lawnside, New Jersey. Since I might not remember this issue when the local libraries open (or might instead work on those articles), I'm posting here.Jweaver28 (talk) 17:37, 16 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
