Bradley Polytechnic Institute[edit]

The reference in this article to Bradley University leads to an archived link that does not in fact say that Harper was president of Bradley. A reference from an early work on Bradley shows that Harper was "president of the faculty" and a trustee of the new institute, but this is clearly not equivalent to presidency of the university, especially since Harper was simultaneously president of the U of C. In fact, Edward O. Sisson was first "Director" of the institute. See: http://archive.org/stream/bradleypolytechn00brad#page/130/ and http://archive.org/stream/bradleypolytechn00brad#page/129/. The institute was affiliated to the University of Chicago, and Harper was influential in assisting its foundation, but the fact that this article gives equal billing to Harper's role as a trustee and honorary president of a minor Illinois university and his role in the formation of one of the country's major universities is absurd.
