Canada Viceroyalty?[edit]

"At one time, Lord Craven was mentioned as a possible successor to Lord Byng as Governor-General of Canada." It is from his NYT obituary, but was it so? Craven was just an earl with a history of war service, bankruptcy and scandals, and the days when pretty much any lord could've gone out to govern New South Wales had just passed.
