Define Theater[edit]

There's some grey area regarding the different theaters of the War of 1812. Is this article generally correct? Most of the books I've reviewed seem to talk about 4 or 5 main areas of operation: the Atlantic Coast, the South, the Niagara theater, and the West. Kentucky seems to have played a major role in supplying manpower, but I can't find a reference to significant military conflicts fought in Kentucky during the War of 1812. That would make it a reasonable boundary between the "Western" and "Southern" theaters. It's not as clear where the Niagara/Canadian theaters end and the Western theater begins, except that the Western campaigns are generally tied together via Tecumseh, Harrison, and Detroit before 1814. I know this is over-simplified, I'm just trying to validate or correct the scope of this article. Thanks. Canute (talk) 18:45, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
