"Standard" gauge[edit]

The reference to "standard gauge ex-Irish Rail 001 class diesel loco, No.015 (formally A15)" in this context is misleading. The convention is that "standard gauge" is accepted to mean 1435mm/4ft 8 1/2 inch gauge - and this has its own Wiki section. The article should be changed to read either "Irish standard gauge" or better, "Irish Broad gauge". JohnB57 (talk) 15:29, 30 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Error in locomotive list[edit]

There seem to be two different steam engines "No 7" in the current list. I presume this is an error. Can anyone say which is correct? Timothy Titus Talk To TT 12:06, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I've now done some work on the article, including tabulation of the steam locomotive list. I've left No 7 without details until someone can clarify whether this engine was a 3C or a 5C. Timothy Titus Talk To TT 13:06, 15 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
