Wedding as the final step in car manufacturing[edit]

According to the BMW Group[1], "[w]ithin the final assembly the highlight of the entire production takes place, the so-called wedding." According to Porsche [2], "[c]ar manufacturers around the world speak about a 'marriage' when they insert the chassis, transmission and engine in the body on the production line."

Maybe one or the other should be reflected in the Wikipedia? After checking the relevant pages, I do not think that is the case yet. EDIT: In the German Wikipedia, it is mentioned in the article on automobile manufacturing. The relevant passage reads (my translation): "The merging of the body with the engine or a complete powertrain is referred to as "wedding" in automotive manufacturing.[1]" The reference is to a scientific book and the relevant chapter even has its own doi, so that seems legit. END OF EDIT

As to why I posted this here and not on the page for "marriage", the following should explain my rationale: The wiktionary [3] defines "wedding" as a "marriage ceremony" or "Joining of two or more parts". In other words, a "wedding" is an even, in contrast to a marriage, which is defined as a "state" [4], so the former fits the final step in car manufacturing better than the latter.
