Spelling book titles[edit]

Although "Bundesakte" is now standard orthography, I think the original spelling should be retained in titles (as listed here for example.) Sparafucil (talk) 21:01, 4 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Historical accuracy[edit]

'After the German War of Liberation against France and Napoleon, many people were bitter about dreams of German unity shattered after the Congress of Vienna. Democratic reforms were stalled, and governments had cracked down on press freedom and rights of association.'

The sentiment of this statement is broadly true, but perhaps something of a debate needs to be opened up/acknowledged here. Whilst democratic reforms had, of course, been enabled in Bavaria, Wurttemberg, Baden and Hesse-Darmstadt, these were the only four states to create elected assemblies with constitutions. Similar movements existed in Germany but almost certainly not Prussia or Austrian lands. The point of 'many people were bitter' needs to be qualified/expanded on in my opinion.
