POV problems[edit]

This doesn't seem completely neutral. Any comments? Sillstaw 23:43, 7 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed; phrases like "stupidity of United Features Syndicate" aren't exactly a cornerstone of neutrality... I think I fixed that, though. Does it look better now? -- Captain Disdain 01:44, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Date of Death?[edit]

The article originally calls Tufts' year of death as 1979. However, a bunch of online sources (including Don Massktein's Toonopedia) call it as 1982. I couldn't really nail that down. I decided to leave it as 1979 simply because the reference mentioned in the article, Warren Tufts Retrospective, is apparently from 1980 and if he had still been alive at the time, I kinda doubt there'd be a retrospective on him... Still, I'd love to get a confirmation on that. Any assistance from someone who's actually familiar with Tufts and his work (I regret to say that I'm not; I'm going on what I can dig up with Google here) would be most welcome. -- Captain Disdain 01:44, 19 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

the page at lambiek.net note this discrepency about his death. emb021 21 June 2006
A search on the Social Security Death Index confirms Tufts' date of death as 1982, which dovetails better with other sources. (Also, that his given name was "Chester.") Furthermore, the Who's Who index gives his death as 1982. I've corrected the entry to reflect that. -- stoshmaster (talk) 00:54, 17 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
