Wuerttemberg State Library[edit]

Should this article be called the Wuerttemberg State Library with the Germany title put in the article? That is the correct English translation. Ozdaren 09:32, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well... de:New York Public Library isn't de:New Yorker Öffentliche Bibliothek either... --AndreasPraefcke 20:56, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but this is English not German. The Germans have a love affair with English. Unless there is some sort of W/P convention, the names of places etc are normally written in English eg.Brandenburg Gate, Berlin Victory Column etc. I've noticed the German Museum is listed as Deutsches Museum. (It doesn't really offend my sensitivities as I speak German, however this is the English W/P). Any other opinions? Ozdaren 12:49, 9 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
When there's a really common name in English, en.wikipedia should of course use this. But if not, I think it is unneccessary and makes finding information even harder. Your example "Brandenburg Gate" is right, but next door "Reichstag" is not called "Imperial Diet" even in en.wikipedia... --AndreasPraefcke 13:59, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Vandalism[edit]

Someone has played around with the facts, using trillion for million, for example and adding impolite words. I suggest someone clean it up. I am too new to make the attempt. Thanks. Edmahon 16:54, 8 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
