Removal of uniqueness claim[edit]

I removed the phrase "VAC is unique in that" from the following sentence. It has been tagged with "citation needed" since March, and I believe that VAC is not actually unique in this regard; the documentation for Soundflower states that it also has this feature. --Tanner Swett (talk) 19:47, 25 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

VAC is unique[citation needed] in that if more than one application is sending audio through an output virtual cable, it is able to mix all of the streams together or create separate corresponding virtual input cables.

i agree! VAC is definitely unique! no other Software is capable what VAC can do ! and it does its job since est. 1994 on Windows 3.11! and after all those modern Windows sound system restrictions its a MUST HAVE for any Audio/Music professional the only thing iam missing is a native ASIO port with latency report to the SW-host - so i have to use ASIO2KS in addition - and it works great in all kinds of setups over the years 93.129.61.53 (talk) 16:07, 1 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
There's one other at least - and more confusingly, the name is identical. Or, the author just left the old stuff hanging around? But the contact name at the site I reference is different. It's kind of confusing. draeath (talk) 18:54, 30 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

route appA output to jack1 and appB output to jack2[edit]

Hi Am I right that this software can't do the above? ?:( --Jangirke (talk) 16:37, 22 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

There should be a section about similar alternate software[edit]

A lot of times an article like this will have a "see also" section about similar software with comparison tables, etc. (See Comparison of digital media players page for example.) I can't find that yet. So, here is some info to start with...

This is a page with some links to some other virtual audio cable software that runs on various OS's

This virtual cable is totally free to use and works great.

There is also a nice free mixer software on this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.27.99.22 (talk) 06:30, 4 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]
