Possible illegitimate name[edit]

This page may have to be deleted: "Status: nom. illeg. nom. superfl. “Viola angustifolia Banks ex Ging. in De Candolle, Prodr. 1: 307. 1824” is an invalid name, and “Viola angustifolia Phil., Linnaea 28: 617. 1857” is a legitimate name. Watson and Flores (l.c.) erred in treating V. angustifolia Phil. as a later homonym and illegitimate, and the name V. wikipedia was superfluous and illegitimate when published" International Plant Names Index (IPNI) --Polinizador (talk) 21:11, 4 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
