Not notable?[edit]

I'm mystified by the not notable claim. Looking at WP:NMG, this article appears to meet several of the listed criteria (multiple published works, #1 album and single, gold records, multiple releases on important indie labels, winner of notable music awards, to name a few). The band and the music can be notable while one band member may not be sufficiently notable to justify an individual biography. I thinka merge would be appropriate. --Stormbay (talk) 15:51, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
