Notability tag[edit]

The cited sources explicitly say that "venture equity" is a branding term coined by a single company, and one of them even states that The “venture equity” term seems like a marketing effort to attract fund investors, rather than anything particularly new. This leaves me doubting the subject's notability, although the phrase "venture equity" does come up in a smattering of articles on Google Scholar. That having been said, it's not clear that those papers are using the phrase to mean the same thing as described in this article. signed, Rosguill talk 19:04, 4 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Upon revisiting this article, the topic appears to meet the general notability guideline. Venture equity is a more recent concept, but its notability is verified through coverage in the reliable, third party sources cited. The statement you referenced is the personal opinion of an individual quoted in the article rather than a major point of discussion within the piece, and the remainder of the article gives significant coverage to the topic of venture equity and how it differs from other investment strategies. Overall, I find this topic still satisfies WP:NOTE and should be maintained as a standalone article. Thank you. WonderfulWorld (talk) 19:01, 1 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
