Chronicle of Current Events quotes[edit]

The coverage of Meylanov's trial from the Chronicle of Current Events is a mainly a detailed record of the events, and as such does make much sense in the "references by contemporaries" section. It should be incorporated into the article, either as quotes or footnotes. I have removed them from the main article and am copying them here for the time being and for future incorporation into the text. – Nkrita (talk) 13:23, 6 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Few minutes after the start of the demonstration Meylanov was arrested. After his detention, his apartment was searched. Copies of his claims to official institutions about the attacks on Sakharov in 1973–77 and a letter criticizing the draft Constitution of the USSR (1977) were confiscated. — Chronicle of current events № 56
