Rewrite[edit]

I just rewrote the page, making it less of a disambig page and more of an overview. It doesn't really work as a disambig page yet anyways, since many of its links don't exist yet. - Trevor MacInnis (Contribs) 03:57, 9 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal[edit]

Why have a split off article?--Petebutt (talk) 13:40, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Oppose I didnt split anything I created a new article from scratch from a red link at United States Department of Defense aerospace vehicle designation as it appeared to be one of three articles missing out of a sequence of related articles. This article is an overview and doesnt actually detail the designation system, the 1956 one I created is a part of a series of similar articles which detailed the actual designation system, so why would you want to merge one and leave the rest as stand-alone articles. Oh and before I added a link and some words to this overview article it didnt even mention the Army 1956 scheme. MilborneOne (talk) 14:05, 4 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Conditional Oppose There are several US military aircraft designation system articles. If all were merged, it may well be too long, complicated and difficult to organize (chronological, alphabetical, by service, alphabetical by service, by type of aircraft, multiple lists?). If just this one was merged it wouldn't be consistent. --Lineagegeek (talk) 20:12, 9 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
