In the section about the boiler explosion, it says "After condoning the actions causing the explosion...". What does this mean? To condone s.t. means to approve or give permission to someone for it, which doesn't fit here. Mcswell (talk) 00:47, 8 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Women aboard USS Willamette[edit]

As I was stationed aboard the USS Willamette as an IDC Hospital Corpsman from mid-1986 to June 1989, I can attest to the fact that women were stationed aboard her long before April 1989. In fact, when we got underway in September 1988 for an 8+ month WestPac/IO deployment, there were women, both officer and enlisted, aboard at that time. Jgelis (talk) 12:47, 25 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
