The majority of scientists in the world are employed in health research, and almost all of those are not far from some connecting to animal testing. This text is among the leading guidelines on management of laboratory animals and is part of the basis for ethics and practice in the use of animals in scientific research.
I thought about combining this with the article of the organization which presents the book, but when I considered that this book is in its 8th edition and every edition has been critically reviewed by academics, I thought it was best for this text to have its own article.
