Separate existence?[edit]

Did the Tympany Five ever perform or record without Jordan? If not, I don't see that there is any case for a separate article. Ghmyrtle (talk) 20:40, 1 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

That argument makes no sense. We can, and should, have both articles. Jordan had many other projects aside from Tympany Five, which was very popular. This article may need expansion, but to me it is pretty obvious why we need a separate article. Just like we could use separate articles for a lot of jazz ensembles and big bands. OK - it would certainly be useful to have a history of its members, so long as we don't unnecessarily duplicate what's in the Louis Jordan article. ("..makes no sense" is a bit harsh though!) Ghmyrtle (talk) 09:17, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
