  • : Hi Dumelow, review follows: Article is new enough, long enough, well written, neutral, sourced, free of copyvio. ALT0 is interesting (enough), ALT1 not so much, both are verified. Waiting on QPQ. Cheers, Eddie891 Talk Work 17:43, 11 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Eddie891, QPQ now completed at Template:Did you know nominations/Kirka Sharif - Dumelow (talk) 07:21, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
approving, both hooks are fine but in my opinion alt zero is better.— Eddie891 Talk Work 12:13, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Photo[edit]

It's nice to have a photo of the predecessor Nissen hut, but a photo of a Twynham hut would be even more helpful. Perhaps someone with knowledge of British military operations can assist. Jnmwiki (talk) 14:00, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Indeed, I looked around for any free images but couldn't find any. There's a few copyrighted images if you google the term but I don't think we can claim fair use on these when there's a reasonably good chance there's still some standing somewhere - Dumelow (talk) 15:37, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
This one carries a "released under Creative Commons" tag in the captions; I'm unsure of the rules around this but that seems like a good start? https://ray-hindle.tripod.com/raf_el_adem/index.album/twynham?i=3 67.8.203.16 (talk) 16:29, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I saw this article on DYK, did a Google images search, found that image, which didn't have that license release at the time, wrote the owner of that site, asking him to add that license. He wrote back, and I uploaded it here. I do that occasionally, but usually most people don't write back, and the ones that do can take months. (Here is a more typical exchange: User talk:GRuban#To whom it may concern.) This time the whole thing took a couple of hours. Fastest license release I ever got! Thank you Colonel Hindle! --GRuban (talk) 17:44, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent work GRuban, many thanks - Dumelow (talk) 17:53, 22 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]
