mystery references to "Grammont" Comment[edit]

this appears to be a 19th-century French historian of the ottoman empire. The reference say it is re-issued, which makes a certain amount of sense, but I can't seem to link the re-issue date to a givem work. But he exists; here are some entries he had in an authoritative-looking bibliography:

  • GRAMMONT, H.-D. de, 1879, Relations de la France & la Régence d'Alger au XVIIe siècle, Première Partie : Les deux canons de Simon Dansa (1606-1628). Alger, Adolphe Jour-dan.

Paris, Ernest Laroux Editeur.
